Erotic and totally unhinged.

Most of you know the story by now but for those of you that don’t, beautiful aspiring writer Guinevere Beck walks into a bookstore where Joe Goldberg works and he was whatever he can to win her heart which includes stalking and murdering.

The book and the show are very different from each other. Without getting too specific, Joe from the books is a lot more unhinged, and Beck is really unlikable. As for the show they added a lot of redeemable qualities to the characters to make the audience like them more.

Also the details of Becks death weren’t very pretty. Other than that Penn Badgley does a terrific job of playing Joe. I give this one an 8-10

Daddy issues begets lust and lust begets murder.

Cale Hanniford wants answers for his estranged daughters murder. Wendy Hanniford was a young prostitute found slashed to death in her apartment in Greenwich Village. Richard Vanderpoel, son of a minister was caught by police for the murder and later hung himself in his jail cell case closed. But what could’ve happened in Wendy’s life that made such a sordid turn that led would eventually lead to her Death ?

Incomes Matthew Scudder, a former NYPD detective turned unlicensed P.I. Who will do favors for friends for cash. Hired by Wendy’s father, Scudder will uncover dark truths about his daughter Wendy as well as Richard past. But what’s done is done. Wendy is dead and nothing Scudder will uncover will give Cale peace.
