I’m back on here. I just really have the muse for Sally at the moment and I want to do some stuff with her. I’ll be slow as I have two exams over the next couple of days, but I should be able get some things done

HIATUS NOTICE

I don’t really know what to say except for the fact I’ll be gone from this blog for awhile not that I’m ever really here anyway. So basically I don’t really have the time to get restarted on Sally just now with assignments and exams coming up. I feel like I should wait until I have some more time I can devote to her before I get her blog fully up and running again.

My last exam for the semester is on June 30, so I’ll be back in the few days after that. I may check in every now again, but I doubt I’ll be roleplaying. You can contact me through my other blogs or skype if you have it.

For that anon sending hate about my appreciation of Molly and Irene over Sally, I don’t dislike sally because she’s a woman in an authoritative position (I admire that about her a lot). Or because she’s rude to Sherlock (I’d be rude to someone whose essentially an unqualified amateur but constantly undermines my hard work too). No. I dislike Sally (not disrespect, don’t confuse the two) because she played a major role in turning Lestrade against Sherlock and wasting police time like Anderson did - but did we ever hear an apology or an ounce of professional remorse? No.

But she wasn’t ‘wasting’ police time. She had genuine reason to believe that Sherlock may have been involved in the kidnapping, and she acted on it, as per her duty. Thus it lead to an investigation, or the beginning of one, which may have taken no further action past Sherlock being questioned. She had a suspicion, and she dealt with it in the manner that would have been deemed appropriate.  We don’t see an on-screen apology, mainly because Vinette wasn’t available for shooting during the time TEH was filming, but also because her apology wasn’t necessary. She did her job - an arrest doesn’t mean there’ll be a trial, and a trial doesn’t mean there’ll be a guilty verdict, but Sally genuinely did what she believed to be right following the possibility that Sherlock was involved in that kidnapping.

“I know what I am, detective.  I’ve no illusions about gaining your respect,” Sherlock told Donovan as he sat there, waiting to be processed yet again for a drug offense.  “Even if I can still solve more crimes in a day as I am now than you lot can solve in a week.”

“You might be able to solve more in a week, but we have the paper- work we have to do. We can’t just go running around like you do whenever we want. There are rules that have to be followed.”

As much as Sally did not like Sherlock all too much, she could not deny that he had the brain power. He would be brilliant if he actually worked for the Yard, but she knew there was little chance of that ever happening.

“Now why don’t you be quiet for awhile so we can get through this quickly. I’m sure you know how this all goes off by heart now.”

“I had to make sure that he believed I was dead.  If he believed, then so would the rest of the world and Moriarty’s network would think they were safe, leaving them wide open to my infiltration.  So no, there wasn’t a better way.”
