Minhyuk stared at the other, unsure how to respond. Until he gave the other a smile and a nod. ‘ Sure, sometimes I do- if I should bring something somewhere or go somewhere or not. I know, it happens to me all the time.’

“I did listen to you, Minhyuk. You said that I was too strict, and once have I felt myself above criticism,” Sammie replied. She just didn’t like it. There was a sense of panic whenever she did anything wrong. Granted, sometimes this panic and anxiety was displaced, but it was what she truly felt. She crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes. “And if you want to know what has my knickers in a twist, it is how you spoke about me to that student.” She turned away, not wishing to lose a friend in Minhyuk. “Check the dungeons, if you like. I won’t tell you how to do your job.”

Minhyuk closed his eyes- taking a big breath of air as he heard her talk and heard the dissappointment. The dissapointment he always saw in other people- those he loved and cared of. He turned around and watched her turn away as well. ‘ Sammie, no-I- I am sorry.’ he walks towards her and approaches her, but doesn’t touch her, he would just follow her if she continues walking. ‘ I-I am soryr. For acting like a douche bag. I shouldn’t have. I should never tell you how to do your job, you know better than I do. Shouldn’t have been so rude about it either- Please forgive me?’

“Of course I listen,” She retorted, acting mock offended. Though she couldn’t focus on being mock anything when she was being nuzzled. Nisa hummed, moving her head to rest in the crook between his shoulder and neck, feeling completely at ease. “Overlooking you at all is a mistake. You’re the best person I know. I want to help you help people, even if it’s just giving you moral support. I know you’ve worked for this and why, I’ll stop being a brat about it I promise.” He was all heart and helping people, she knew that. Understood better than most what it felt like to want that acceptance. She felt selfish for wanting so much of his attention and the Slytherin knew she needed to work on that. Her eyes starting to focus on his neck while he spoke, the strange sensation of heat crept up her cheeks and she blinked. Bad, Nisa. “It really is the best when we go unbothered,” She preferred having him all to herself. “Nah, I’m pretty sure I’m just moving in with you. Visiting won’t work at all and I could do with leaving Nana’s, she has way too many knickknacks everywhere. You know the more I think about this idea the more I’m liking it.” She nodded and laughed, “Oh good, sabotaging them wouldn’t be as fun masterminded alone. No you’re right and at least you know what it is you want to do, I still have yet to fully figure that part out.” Lost was putting it dramatically, but she kind of was. Not having Hogwarts wasn’t something she liked to think about, especially when she was so unsure about her future. She absentmindedly interlocked their fingers. “Maybe your first order of business could be helping me figure out what it is I should do, besides being this awesome.”

Minhyuk smiled, grateful by her understanding. ‘ Thank you, princess. I knew you’d understand once I told you how important this is to me- how important people are to me.’ She always seemed heartless to others- but to him, she had the biggest heart and the biggest smile. It was amazing. She was amazing. And when she said that she’d move with him- his breath stopped. His eyes widened and he couldn’t help but panick. Move in as...friends, of course. They were just friends after all. And if they move in together- she could bring boys. Of course she could it’d be her home. And that’d make him-make him probably bust. And only as he was thinking of that, with her in his arms, one year before they actually do it- with no plans yet of actually buying a condom together. He blurted;’ If we do move in together, no males allowed from your side that are more than friends.’ he nodded, trying not to sound- desperate, or mad with himself for saying that. ‘ You’re just a tad awesome-’ he teased’- did you thought about quidditch? You’re an awesome player and I could definitly come and see you play at almost every single game. Wouldn’t that be cool? Taking gryffindors out even after hogwarts. I think it’d suit you- but, there are other jobs. Or none at all. You know, whatever make you happy-I, will always provide a home for you no matter what you choose, you know?’

“Well, Minhyuk, you are starting a fight with me by acting as if I’m a savage animal that you have to hold back,” Sammie replied, raising her brow at the boy. With a shift of her weight, she crossed her arms. “As far as I’m aware, a first year should be able to read, and you didn’t allow me to finish to know what I would have done. Not fair, exactly, to be sitting here correcting me when you have no idea what would have happened. Perhaps I was strict, but I’m not trying to be friends with them.”

Minhyuk closed his eyes as the other went on and on without a sense- all Minhyuk wanted was to make sure she didn’t give the poor little student another detention. ‘ Who got your panties in a twist this fine evening? I just- ignore what I wanted to say, go ahead. You are better than me, you’re perfect, right? Do it your own way, don’t even bother listening to my opinions, thanks.’ He shrugged and turned around, ready to move away from her. ‘ i need to check the dungeons.’

“Why would she know who the culprit is?” he asked, tilting his head. Everyone has these gut feelings, as far as he is aware. Felix just got them more often and a little bit more accurate. Grant his were much more random, such as suddenly knowing his food was taken, but nothing out of the ordinary.

‘ because...she has similar hunches like you?’ minhyuk asked with a shrug- he really thought felix thought of himself as a seer or something. or anything related to that.

Nisa took a sharp intake of breath as she was pulled onto his lap, mind going slightly hazy before she collected herself. Or tried to, it’s quite hard when all the blood rushes to your head and your heart skips like that. It had been doing that around him, much too often for her to keep telling herself it wasn’t a big deal. It wouldn’t stop her from trying though. Not when the closeness made her feel warm and much better than she had before, it brought her back to earth. His arm like an anchor around her. “Do I look like I keep up on prefect rules and regulations?” She replied playfully, not letting the hand he grabbed her with go. Her fingers playing with his as her eyes glanced into his. Not being able to help her smirk at being called princess, “I refuse to admit a single thing, but if I was don’t be, I get it..sort of, I mean not the prefect thing, but you know I’ll support you no matter what you do, Minmin.” Her thumb drew circles on his palm while they spoke, sounding less teasing and more serious. “It’s sort of my job to have your back..” She cleared her throat feeling exposed, fiery jest soon back in her voice. “I’m impatiently awaiting quidditch starting, co cap. If I want? What about what you want? Do you not like our common room time spending? I thought it was pretty mutual.” Smirk turning to smile, she laughed. “I know that you mushball, What I still don’t know is why you want to be in charge of all the students, I mean don’t get me wrong, head boy Min is hot and all, but it seems like so much extra bother. Do I have to plot team gryffindors downfall on my own this year out of a conflict of interest or something?”

' No, but I talk about them all the time - don’t you listen to me?’ he teased lightly and nuzzles his nose against her cheek, closing his eyes as he embraces her, feeling like he’s home after a wet dark night. He opens his eyes and he chu ckles. ‘ I just like- helping, you know? And I got this opportunity and I’d be dumb to turn it down. Like, this is what I want to do- help people because I want to, not because I have to, you know? And I have been a Prefect all this years, being head boy had been a dream of mine- this way, maybe, my father won’t overlook me so much, you know?’ Nisa was the only one who knew the real occurence between his father and him- she is the only one who knows that the person he thought didn’t have love for kids, now had two kids he loved more than he ever loved Minhyuk. But, he quickly moves his thoughts from that. ‘ I love our common room time hours, when it’s just the two of us with no one to bother? I love love it. Couldn’t live without it, will miss it next year- which is why you’ll have to either move in with me or make sure to visit me all the time.’ He shrugs at her last questions. ‘ I’ll be with you against the quidditch teams forever- I just think for now, head boy isn’t so bad.’

Felix looked over to Minhyuk, stretching a smile on his lips. In honesty, he couldn’t remember. And asking him for something that was merely a gut feeling wasn’t exactly something that could yield answers. Felix blankly blinked at Minhyuk. “Maybe some food? I’m not sure, really. But I have a feeling, you know?” he replied. “You know what I mean, right?”

Minhyuk blinked at Felix, unsure what to say for a second, before he smiled, nodding.’ Sure, yeah, I know what you mean- what about we make a small walk to Professor T? I’m sure she’ll be more than willing to help with finding the...culprit.’ He chuckled to himself, not a big fan of divination.

If the student was already in trouble, there was no need for her to add extra punishment. And Sammie already knew that. Once told, she simply turned away looking ahead of herself. A small rose up from her. “Won’t be able to hold me? Acting like I wouldn’t have let the kid go if I knew you already reprimanded them,” Sammie crossed her arms, directing her attention towards her fellow head.

‘ i really do not want to fight with you or like go against you in any way- i just don’t want to do anything like this today, okay?’ minhyuk sighs and shakes her head. ‘ well, you should let them tell you- that poor little kid was peeing in his pants because you look so fierce. relax a tad, won’t you? they’re first years. you didn’t know any better then either.’

Nisa’s ears perked up and she had a slew of different emotions. First came disappointment that he had duty tonight, second was annoyance that he had duty tonight with Sammie, and third, the green monster inside her started reared it’s ugly head. Her eyes playfully narrowed as he winked. “Oh really? And who is it exactly that would be asking for you? Sammich?” She said the nickname is contempt, it almost made her scoff. A smirk grew on her lips. “You’d want to be spending time with those people instead of me?” She started to move before thinking about it and, somehow, climbed gracefully over the table. Moving his book to the side and getting comfy in the spot it previously occupied. Looking down at him now from her seat on the table, legs swinging off the table softly. “What level of trouble are you prepared to get into, my so asked for Minmin,” Then she paused, “We don’t really have to.. I just, you have so much more to do now as headboy. Plus, I’m bored. And we’re low on cuddle time, it makes me grumpy.” What she was trying to say was that she had missed him and they had both been busy.

' I actually don’t have duty with her tonight, no- you know I can have duty with anyone, right?’ He chuckled under his breath because even if he would never admit it, he enjoyed seeing her jealous- especially when it came to him. When she came closer, however, it made his heartbeat hammer in his chest, breath hitching his throat because she was in a position that maybe wasn’t the best for his health. Or heart per se. ‘ Oh, is the little princess missing me that much?’ he teases lightly, a smile bring brought to his lips at her words. He moves his chair a tad farther from the table, grabs one of her hands gently and without thinking, pulls her down from the table directly into his lap. A hand wrapping around her waist to keep her tightly there. ‘ Sorry for not being around that much, princess- quidditch is starting soon and we’ll have as much time as before to spend together. Plus, after duty, we can still spend time in the commons if you want. You know I’ll be there if you need me.’

‘ -okay, but hear me out-’ the boy cleared his throat as he emerged deep into his mind. ‘ -who do you think would win in a fight? the whomping willow or the giant squid? like this is the most important question of the century, i advise you think before you answer.’

Nisa let out a loud sigh, then a second even more audible one just trying to get the others attention. Slamming the ancient book closed and flopping her head down onto it. Chin resting so she could look up at them. “I feel as though I’ve been studying for 5,000 years and what is it that muggles say? All work no play makes john, no jake, no, Jack! Makes jack a dull boy. Well, I’m no boy and I feel like getting into some mischief. What do you say? You, me, some trouble?” The lantern lights flickered and gave the room a warm glow, lighting up her smirk in the semi darkness. “I’ll make it worth your time?”

Minhyuk chuckled, he didn’t even have to look up to know she was preparing her ‘trouble speech’ as he likes to call it. Because he knows how important this is for her, to be able to do what she wants, no matter the consequences. ‘ I have rounds tonight actually, so if you want some trouble you have the use the best of time you have with me right now, you know, your boy is quiet asked for lately.’ he teases lightly, looking up from his book, head leaned to a side as he winks her way.

She stood there, watching the student sneak around the corner. How boring, Sammie thought to herself as she tapped her foot. Prancing around the castle late at night, but couldn’t be bothered to at least pretend to be more clever about how they were going about it. The Ravenclaw sighed. “Probably should reconsider doing whatever this is so obviously. At least make it a challenge for me,” Sammie stated, nodding her head. She was annoyed, as she was with someone clearly not understanding that rules were made to be kept, not discarded on a whim.

' Already got that one, you can let them go.’Minhyuk came down the other hall, hands in his robes’ pockets and he bits the inside of his cheek as he nods for the other to go towards their common room. ‘ Go, quick, until I won’t be able to hold her.’ he said it out loud and clear, so when he turned to face his fellow authority, he knew she might be angry with him. ‘ Double detention is too harsh when they’re barely starting school.’

A sudden solemn expression fell onto Felix’s face mid sentence. His mind seemed to focus off into something else, before snapping him back into reality after a brief moment. As if the previous conversation never happened. Felix pondered, “I’m pretty sure someone just stole something.” The gears in his head must have been causing his ears to smoke as he tried to work out what could have been stolen and why. It was personal. That was all he knew, but he couldn’t pinpoint anything specific.

Minhyuk narrowed an eyebrow as he turned around to face Felix. ‘ I’m sorry? Did you left your stuff laying around?’ The now headboy needed to show more care for things like that now and especially to actually help to find the culprit. ‘ What exactly did they steal and when did you last see it?’
