if my detective still had a say in her life, she would’ve denied becoming an agent. and throughout the series i’m getting increasingly more stressed on her behalf thinking of how compliant she’s forced to be. the majority of her choices are being taken away and instead given to Rebecca, UB or the agency. putting aside the romance aspect, she really gets nothing out working for the them.

Okay okay so I've said I want the detective to be set up on a date by Tina to have the Adam jealousy angst BUT it seems my brain has only just caught up with book 4 having a masquerade (which in itself has me screaming) AND UH THE DETECTIVE DANCING AND GENUINELY HAVING A GOOD TIME WITH SOMEONE ELSE DOUBLE POINTS IF IT'S BECAUSE ADAM WOULDN'T DANCE WITH THEM BECAUSE HES SCARED OF EMOTIONS
