Driving to my parents for the Christmas holidays
Today I wanted to take the train to Havixbeck to visit my parents over the Christmas holidays. Yesterday it was already announced in the DB app that a tree crashed on the train tracks from Münster (Westf) Hbf to Havixbeck because of the storm. This morning I checked and apparently the trains were driving again. When I arrived at the train station in Greven to no surprise the RB 63 from Münster (Westf) Hbf to Havixbeck was cancelled. My only option now was to wait half an hour in the cold and rainy weather for the bus. As I was planning to visit my parents for a couple of days I also had to carry around three large bags with clothes and Christmas presents (admittedly, the biggest bag was filled with my crochet utensils, so that's on me). Only benefit from this was that my parents didn't have to pick me up from the Havixbeck train station as the bus arrives close to their home.
