I think my hip just subluxated. It popped back into place very quickly but it's a little scary as it wasn't even by "bad hip" that did it.

I’m entirely the wrong person to ask about when to be worried. Both of my hips and my tailbone went out a few minutes ago when I sneezed, and I just popped them back in, business as usual.

but if you want my 2cents Are you normally able to walk? If so, can you walk on it or perform your usual range of motion?

Yes: you’re probably fine and just moved wrong. Baby it for a few days if the surrounding soft tissue hurts. Take an anti inflammatory if that doesn’t contradict any other health conditions. Keep an eye on it. Our joint issues change as we age, so it could be nothing or it could be something you need to target in physical therapy. No: get your ass to urgent care for an x-ray, it might still be out of the socket. Subluxations don’t cause as much soft tissue damage as outright dislocations, but they can still fuck up nerves and joint stability so getting it seen to instead of white-knuckling your way through a partial dislocation is better.

i know i don't post about this stuff like at all, but i have a semi common issue of my knee popping out and going right back in, leaving me unable to bear weight. second to last time this happened, i broke my femur with the force of the dislocation. PLEASE get checked out if you're able! walking should not cause any sharp pain where you feel like you're gonna collapse. if that pain isn't there, you're probably fine

memory wise, i'd say danny phantom. my fixation for loz has lasted longer but i've also just had more artblock stints. never underestimate the power of a 14yo drawing on their phone w their finger
