"Oh good! I'm so happy you found who you were looking for!" And they didn't even have to lift a finger, what luck!

"Oh... but what do you do with cute girls anyhow?"

"Alrighty then!" Yato replied before bringing a finger to his chin. He could either use up his last teleport or land on his feet like a cat.  He gazed at the incoming ground once more before making his decision. Why not use both?

"I’ll see you in  a few seconds." He said and in a split second he disappeared and reappeared on the roof of a building not too far down. Checking the imaginary watch on his arm, He watched the pinkette’s figure descend.

Sprinting, he jumped off the roof at the right moment and caught her in his arms. He was a taken aback a bit by how heavy she was, was she made out of metal?

The duo safely landed on the ground, thank the heavens he didn’t step on the dung pile a few inches away. ”There you go.” 

"I’m the Yato God" He dug into his pocket and fished out a handmade business card. Handing it to her, he asked, "Nice doing business with you!"

"What do you mean by that---" And he was gone. Poof. Vanished right into thin air! Panic flickered across her expression, born from the worry that something may have happened to him. Ignoring the quickly approaching ground, she frantically searched for her missing companion, her hands groping the air.

"W-Where did you go-- oomph!!" The sudden jolt momentarily left her dazed and she thought she had hit the ground below. But no pain had singed her senses; instead she comforted by the gentle embrace of two warm hands.

"... Eh? Ehh?" She couldn't believe it! She rubbed her eyes and slapped her cheeks to make sure of what had just happened was real. "No way, you managed to catch me too!? T-That's... I don't know what that is! Beyond amazing... beyond the coolest! You're ace!

"I'm definitely doing business with you again, Yato! Flying .... well, falling around like that was a bunch of fun!"

" I wonder what kind of babes are lingering here now. “  how many phone numbers could he gather in one sitting ?   ” Cute girls can’t be hiding ! ”

"Why would they be hiding...?"

"Did something happen to scare them off? I can help you look for them, if you want!"

“And why do you want someone to flash their underwear at you? Are you some kind of pervert…?" Lord.

"... Er, yes. The google. Googling. Study of googlogy! I'll get right on that when I can, mister!" Admitting that she didn't know what that was either didn't sound like a hot idea.

"I-I'm not! It's just... It's cause superheroes are always wearing them on the outside of their uniforms, right? Kinda like they're saying they ain't no Percy Pants!"

This chick was definitely strange in Yato’s book. Here they were hundreds of feet in the air but nothing in her demeanor changed. Well, she seemed worried for a bit but the expression vanished as quickly as it appeared.

"Would you like to land safely or maybe you’d prefer something a bit more dynamic and just…crash?" He questioned. The ground was getting closer and closer by the second. The girl looked human so the God was a tad bit worried about her well being.

Yato just prayed she would pick the safer choice. He surely didn’t plan on smashing into the floor as if he were an asteroid like last time.

Decisions, decisions! Should she crash painfully against the ground and risk damage to her foundation? Or land carefully in a soft, remote area? On one hand, crashing sounded fun. On the other hand, still being able to move and talk afterwards also sounded like fun!

".... Okay! Let's land safely!" She decided and gave him a thumbs up with her free hand. There was important thing to consider: He already crashed once, hadn't he? It didn't seem fair of her to ask him to do it again. He seemed pretty strong but everyone had their limits.

"Do your best! I believe in you~!"

Yato grabbed a glass bottle hidden in his jersey and placed the coin inside before placing it back in it’s rightful spot. “Your wish has been heard loud and clear!” Yato announced as he placed an arm on her shoulder.

And with a flash of blue light, the duo was suddenly in the sky. This was his second time using his teleportation ability and he could only use it thrice per day but this was well worth it. “I hope you’re ready!” He shouted while giving her a thumbs up.

"Ready as I'll ever be!" Miki shouted right back, grinning as hard as she could. They were in the sky! They were actually way high up in the sky! A part of herself had doubted the boy's promise but here they were, shoulder to shoulder, trespassing in the realm of birds and rainclouds.

'... Wait, what exactly should I be doing?' The realization that she hadn't thought this through had finally hit her. As she was falling through the air, should she aim for a soft landing area? Flap her arms and hope for the best?

... Things will be fine. Probably.

Currently ensnared in a world of pain, Yato stood up, straightened his back  and managed to offer a crooked grin to the somewhat strange girl. He didn’t know anyone who desired to fall headfirst into cement but hey, whatever floats her boat.

"I can do anything you want for the mere price of five yen!" Yato replied as he held out his hand, waiting for payment.

What an amazing bargain!

She bounced up and down, listening carefully if anything jingled in her pockets before reaching in. Some cotton, a bag of hard candy, one single gummy worm and...

"Five yen!" She slapped the money down onto his hand and shook it vigorously.

"Take me to the stars!"

Welp, now he had done it. In his efforts to prove those obnoxious scientists wrong Yato tried to teleport himself out of Hive City. Turns out he was just transported high up in the sky and was now falling towards the ground at an alarming speed.

"This bites."

And so the self proclaimed God crashed into the pavement below, attracting a few stares from those passing by.

"That was amazing~!" Sure, the way he had smashed his face into the ground like that didn't look particularly fun. But falling through the sky, tasting the clouds and grazing the sun?  Nothing sounded more wonderful!

"Do you... think you could teach me how to do that too!?"

Her first real job! Her creators back at home would be so proud!

"Ah, what’s with this place? Weird people everywhere. Not that I’m one to talk I suppose."

Adachi walked around the city he’d be thrust into. It was much different from the rural and dull Inaba, but it was different from the city he had lived in before as well.

"Experiment huh?" he said leaning on a nearby building. "Can’t say I fond of that. But, free lodging, free food, and this is definitely better than prison. It’ll be nice to have something other than cabbage for dinner again. But I really feel like they’re mocking me with this thing…." he looked at the toy they gave him in place of a pistol. "Not that I really need this. Not a cop anymore, and ‘you’re’ much better than a pistol anyway aren’t you?" he said with a small grin, seemingly referring to himself.

Removing himself from the wall, he once again started walking. Pedestrians passed him by with blank stairs, going about their lives. 

"Seems people are useless no matter the universe. Wonder if the TV world exists here too? Heh, maybe I should make use of it agai-"

His ramblings were cut short as he walked into another person. Quickly reacting to the situation, he said

"S-sorry about that. Ah, you didn’t hear what I was saying did you? Me and my big mouth… A-anyway are you alright? I’d really prefer not to get arrested already. Actually, are there even police here at all?"

Miki was happy to report that she had not received any damage after bumping into the older man! Rather than express that in words, the android happily saluted him instead. It would take more than a simple bump to cause a dent in her nanotubes, anyhow.

"S-sorry about that. Ah, you didn’t hear what I was saying did you?

"Well~... I heard a little something about the universe and a tv world. It didn't make much sense but..." The gears in her head were brainstorming on the possible meaning behind them. One theory was that he was a little cuckoo in the head but that didn't seem very nice to assume. Another possibility was that he was speaking in code, like a spy! But her favorite idea was...

"A-Are you a star? Like... a movie star!?"

"...What's a NEET?" Some type of human that excelled at yelling? Oh! Or maybe it meant he was edible! But she didn't exactly want to test that theory out.

"But superheroes are the greatest! Zooming around, saving people, flashing their underwear! I want to see one with my own two eyes!"

"Humans are so amazing... big ones, small ones... oh gosh, look at the muscles on that one!" In the middle of the sidewalk sat the android, her ahoge spinning around with an excited flourish for every person that walked by.

"This place is so cool!"
