But no, seriously, while I’m laughing about Tenkuu Shinpan, please be careful if you decide to pick it up. 

It’s a suspense/horror manga with some pretty graphic violence and gore. There isn’t a chapter that goes by without someone dying in a horrific death. If you’re familiar with Cage of Eden or Akame ga Kill it’s that level of gore and violence with people being sliced in half, beheaded, implications or threats of rape, shot in the head, etc. 

It also deals with suicide. Like literally, the characters are given the choice to commit suicide or be killed by the Masks. 

The plot is pretty basic. Characters wakes up somewhere strange, everything is trying to kill them, trying to escape and ask why are they here, how do they escape, and a bad guy trying to stop them.   

The fanservice is terrible. There’s a panty shot like every other chapter, all the females poses are weird, lots of staring at the breasts, etc 

The best thing about this manga is the Masks. Like, most mangas that follow this plotline, it’s like monsters or zombies or humans who kill for the sake of killing lost in their own insanity, basically mindless creatures who kill everything. The Masks aren’t like that, (some are and it holds that way in the beginning), but it’s really interesting how well, capable of higher level thinking they are.  

So be mindful if you’re sensitive to that type of content. I’m not, but I jumped in without really reading the tags carefully and was taken off guard (because I wanted to see Sniper Mask).

THIS DORK CHANGED HIS ENTIRE OUTFIT

I know, I know, he got pretty damaged during his fight against Yuri and Nise, but everything is different. His shoes, his belt buckle, his tie, his shirt, and his HAT.

I can’t believe I never noticed it before. I was still tripping over his shirt changing that I nearly missed (but @midnightluck pointed out) his shoes and belt. I can’t believe this dork changed his entire outfit, but ONLY SLIGHTLY. 

All this tells me is 1) the dressing room carries suits and fedoras in Sniper’s size 2) he (and by extensions other Masks) are capable of picking their outfits and this is what Sniper picks. 

I really want to know what the inside of the dressing room looks like.
