I bring you more Belphegor fanart because I love drawing him. So here’s his ‘demon form’ and his circulatory system because I adore anatomy physiology.

This demon form for him is heavily inspired by @waltnut’s design. Their art is spectacular and a huge inspiration to my own so PLEASE go check them out it is 100% worth your time, they’re amazing.

I love the idea of giving Belphegor subtle canid features like wolf teeth and a proportionally enlarged heart because I think of the sin of sloth as a wolf in sheep’s clothing and honestly a bit of Belphegor himself as he’s such a cuddly sweetheart but also *insert chapter 16 spoiler here*.

I had to splice a human circulatory system with a cat’s to include the tail. If a bigger anatomy nerd sees a mistake, lmk, I adore constructive criticism because I want to improve.

I reached out to @waltnut a while ago to see if I could post anything I made inspired by them. If they see this and the permission to post stuff inspired by your designs is no longer valid, please lmk and I’ll take it down as soon as I get the notification.

actually more thoughts on demonus… that it doesn’t usually intoxicate humans while having that effect on demons is actually really interesting. we’ve known demons and humans have similar but not the same diets (eating humans isn’t actually good for humans but demons think were tasty, How Would A Human Even Eat A Soul In The First Place, ect)

But this does actually confirm that the ‘poisonous to one but not the other’ thing goes both ways. Drunkenness, biologically speaking, is mild and survivable poisoning, when done responsibly.

So it’s actually 100% possible that human foods can do weird shit to demons. Watermelon could make them trip balls. Twinkies could be fatal. We just don’t know.

a character who truly, legitimately goes “but why does that matter?” about their feelings when someone who cares about them asks. and the sudden falling of everyone around them’s faces as they realize that this person doesn’t recognize themself as someone who needs or should be taken care of. i want Everyone to hurt. surprise at the idea, worry for them, horror at not having noticed. do you see this person who doesn’t think of themselves as a person?
