Did that really just happen? What does it mean? It caught me off guard. I shouldn’t let my mind wonder. I shouldn’t be left alone in silence. Now I sit here feeling. Reeling. Shocked. In all the good ways but pausing.

Pausing because I know I am deserving. Pausing because is it mutual? Is it real? Is it for real? Are we at that point? Pausing because I’m shocked and curious at the same time.

So I must pause until I understand better. I cried because of the shock. Oh, what a contradicting state of mind.

I will not say what I feel that sits directly within my heart. All I can do is show it. In the quiet moments. When I kiss away your tears. Hugging you through the pain. Giving you that room to breathe when you carry the world. The laughter after your storms… it’s so much. I value you. I value this. However long we are granted together I enjoy every given second. It’s chaotic around us but quiet amongst us.
