History, such a fickle thing. Tales of conquerors and the conquered, good and evil, where often, the conquered are ignored. The historical account of the Mahabharata, a great book written by the spiritual rishi, Ved Vyas, the incarnation of Narayan. Perfect by all accounts, or is it? What about the Kauravas and their associates? Duryodhan, Karn, Bhanumati, Vrushali, Gandhari, Dhritarashtra, Shakuni and Aswatthama and many more were ignored by Vyasadeva. Keshav, Kounteya and Krishna. Madhav, Mahanayak and Mahabharati were the main focus of the Mahabharata. In this book, however, I'll attempt to potray the Mahabharata through a different perspective.

Those who attain immortality in the body never die until the end of time, they roam the earth after their family and friends have long left it. Those who attain immortality in people's hearts however, their stories are loved, cherished, read and studied. Aranika is one such person who attained immortality in people's hearts. Her story began when @Akhila6002, the one who put her thoughts and turned it into a story, started writing. And I, evidently, started another book to continue her story. Aranika, the eldest princess of the great kingdom of Kosala who is a time traveler from 2052. She is a Vishnu ansh who got three boons from Vishnu dev. She is the one who can be present in 100 places at once, she who is the most pampered daughter of Shatrughan but a long buried secret for 6 years, that she is the blue skinned girl with a golden crown adorned witb peacock feathers, she is the one who entertains the eartlings with her melodious flute, is revealed to her when she was just 17! Little girl, big responsibilities Huh! But she needs to go through all this because she needs go experience the hard reality of this world to become the saviour. The Christmas Tree Adorned with Gaza’s Rockets

While the world celebrates and decorates Christmas trees with lights and colors, here in Gaza, the only tree we know is adorned with rockets and shells, illuminated only by the flames of war. Year after year, we do not celebrate; we remain trapped in an endless cycle of suffering.

This year, fear was a constant guest in our family. My children never felt the taste of safe sleep; the sound of bombing shook the fragile walls of our house. Food scarcity forced us to share the little we had, and access to medicine and education has become a distant dream.

Gaza is a city struggling to survive, and my family is part of this struggle. We try to live despite the siege, the pain, and the constant feeling of being forgotten by the world. This holiday season, while the world waits to decorate its trees, we wait for life, for safety, and we hope the world will look at us with humanity before we are forgotten beneath the rubble.

Help the children of Gaza. Help our families standing on the edge of survival. Perhaps the helping hand you extend will be the only glimmer of hope for us in this darkness.

Living your entire life walking on two feet, only to suddenly lose one of them forever, is a terrifying nightmare that we can’t even imagine. But what if it became a reality? This is what happened to Muhanad Yasin 15 years old during the genocide in Gaza.

Like any other day, Muhanad went to the bakery to buy some bread for our family amid the flour crisis. Suddenly, the bombing intensified, and a nearby house was struck. That moment marked the beginning of a sorrowful life he had never experienced before. His foot was severely injured, and he was rushed to the hospital. However, they told him they couldn’t treat it because the cost was too high, and he had no choice but to amputate his foot. The treatment would cost too much, and we didn’t have even half the required amount.

So, his foot was amputated forever. That foot he had always used to walk would never return. He was utterly shocked and pleaded for help before the amputation, but there was no one to assist him. He is alive now, but his spirit is completely shattered. As a family, we were all devastated. We wished we could have had the money to help him before this catastrophe happened. But now, he has lost his foot.

What kind of life is it to lose a part of you that you’ve always had? His dream was simple, like any other young person’s: to travel abroad, support his family, and build a future. But now, his dream has been reduced to something as basic as having a prosthetic foot and a normal life.

Therefore, I want to help him, even if it’s just a little. I want to help him travel abroad to treat his other foot before it too is amputated, and to get a prosthetic foot to ease his heavy burden, even if only a little. Please help us, help my brother quickly, even if it’s just a little. He is still someone who has life and a dream to live.
