Forgive me, but it would be extremely unrealistic for children to fight in a war and come out completely unscathed afterwards. I couldn't write that the ymbrynes got a beating and then in the next chapter they're flawless and unharmed. Miss N will have scars for the rest of her life, Betinna lost an eye, Millard will limp a bit, Hugh is in a wheelchair. These people fought a war; it's inconceivable that they wouldn't get hurt.

I consider myself very generous for not having killed anyone, as was the plan for the chapter.

Hey Sophia, are you planning on finishing that fanfic about Bentham and Mother Dust?

I had completely forgotten about the existence of this fanfic. Few people seem interested in such a random and dysfunctional ship. I intended to use this fanfic to provide background to the dysfunctional relationship we see in A New Era. Perhaps I'll write more about this if anyone is interested.

I like the progression of Ms. P as a maternal figure for the children. I strongly believe that the kidnapping and imprisonment caused her to change her personality and become more attached to her children.

In the first trilogy, Alma was more of a school principal. From LoS onwards, she became more maternal.

She truly missed her children; she feared losing them forever, and she began to cherish the moments she spent with them more. She listened attentively to the children's story, she went with them to the beach, she sang lullabies to Olive and Claire. She cares about and loves her children, and subtly began to show this more after the traumas she experienced in LoS.

Update on ANE

It's nothing too important, but I just wanted to let you know that ANE will be getting more chapters. I didn't lengthen the story, I'll just make the chapters shorter, because the gigantic chapters I was writing were destroying me, wearing me out absurdly.

So instead of one gigantic chapter with multiple storylines, we'll have a medium-sized chapter with a maximum of two storylines.

Don't worry, the story won't lose its plot; it will just have more chapters telling the same story that was already planned.

hi mphfpc community sorry ive been a little inactive but before i go to work i had a...thought? suggestion? comment? idk. it is nothing bad, or nothing that anyone has done, just something i personally want to see more.

i want. more diverse charecters.

riggs barely provides that. the only confirmed poc charecters are either villainous, gross, or barely charecters, the others that are revolve around headcanons. the only disabled charecters are either not talked about when it comes to their charecters except maybe once or are almost non exsistant, i can't even think of any off the top of my head that isn't a main cast member. the only queer charecters are either forcefully confirmed or just mere headcanons. the only fat, or boney, or any diverse body type other than "normal" are either villainous or solely because their peculiarities make them that way.

trans ftm ymbrynes. overweight peculiars with an ability that doesn't revolve around their body. deaf charecters that are shown to be strong and capable. one mexican or african or brazilian charecter that actually does something more than be in the background for crying out loud.

i sound hypocritical, given that the two peculiar oc's ive shown so far are white europeans males that are "normal" unless there is something that happens to revolve around their peculiarity. but i believe strongly in this. the lack of any representation in the series is truly a shock considering how the story is laid out. but we as a fandom have the power to make it more diverse.

The new chapter of ANE has 21 pages in Word. An average chapter of this fanfic has 5 pages, this chapter is worth 4 chapters. I'll have to translate it, upload it to AO3, revise it, edit it, create a summary, add the TW, create the illustration... So I can only imagine that the chapter will be released in two or three days.
