You're one of the smart ones, then! On behalf of the entire staff of Polt town Regional Hospital, thank you for using common sense. A lot of people are too worried or angry to even cast a simple fire protection charm. Now, I'm no witch, but my boss tells me that the charm isn't all that hard to cast.

No, not really. Adonis does, but he’s probably not very helpful at a time like this.

He might be helpful is it's possible to charm a fire out, but other than that... Well, maybe some of the fae or elves will figure out a solution. Or maybe the Darcys will get their shit together.

I've put up barriers around the hospital, so at least people will have a safe place to go if the fire spreads. Other than that, my powers are pretty useless in this case...

Well as long as everyone takes precautionary measures to make sure they don’t get burned then there shouldn’t be a ton of people coming in with burns.

But then again I doubt people would be extra careful not to get burns.

Wouldn't it be great if everyone took precautionary measures? That would be fantastic, I'd have next to nothing to do all day.

See, most people know enough to stay away from a forest fire, but it's the elves, the fae, and the witches I'm most concerned about. They all seem to care about the trees more than their own bodies, so they're constantly trying to put out the fire, but only end up getting burned. I swear, I must've patched the same fairy up four times, only to have him run right back out to get burned again!

There not much we can do about it, Gracey. As awful as it is, my workload in the ER has already more than doubled with the number of people who charge in trying to fight the fire, and just end up getting burned. It's just a really bad situation...

I think we need extra help. Maybe the governor could send in state troopers or something. That's assuming he knows we exist, of course...

"Well I would be highly amused if you answered the door like that." Asya replied with a smirk. "But I’m guessing that you wouldn’t be quite so amused so I’ll go get it. I’ll be back in like 2 minutes. Quicker if I can." She reluctantly wriggled out from underneath Cameron and pulled one of his shirts out of the closet, putting it on on her way down the stairs. She would have been more than happy to see the pizza guy’s reaction if she answered the door in just a matching underwear set. However, she knew that it would ruin her chances of having sex that night. She took a couple of minutes to search for Cam’s wallet, eventually finding it on the kitchen counter, and took out exactly the right money for the pizza before eventually opening the door. She had learned by now that if the pizza guy wanted paying, he would wait, or else she would phone and complain. Taking the box, she handed over the money in silence and shut the door. She took the box into the kitchen taking a slice out before closing the box again and pretty much abandoning it in the on the counter. Asya was just finishing her slice of pizza as she walked back into the bedroom.

Cameron waited up in the room, trying to take his mind off what he wanted to do to Asya at that moment. He almost couldn't stand the wait, and found himself adjusting his remaining clothing. He heard her walking up the stairs at long last, and grinned as a plan came to mind. He hid around the corner of the door, out of sight as she came into the room. He crept up behind her as she entered, taking her by surprise as he wrapped his arms around her, and starting to unbutton the shirt she wore. "Well, now that that's taken care of..." He whispered. "... Wanna get back to it?" He moved to lightly nip at the back of her neck as he waited for his answer.

The fact that Cameron still wanted to make love to her in her condition shouldn’t have been as surprising to Asya as it was. Honestly, she was a little annoyed that she had gone to the effort of putting the movie on when he was just going to turn it off again, almost straight away. When he kissed her, all of her anger melted away. After a moment, she started to kiss him back, running her fingertips lightly over his shoulders. Ever since their first time on the secluded beach near the lake, sex had become a vital part of their relationship. She broke the kiss slowly and a little reluctantly, smiling sweetly at him. “Maybe we should go upstairs.” She suggested quietly, knowing that the bed would be far more comfortable for what they were about to do.

Cameron did his best to nod as he kissed her again, not letting her get away from him so easily. He half led, half carried Asya up the stairs to the bedroom, taking a longer time than it should have due to their constant stops to continue making out. Cam was in his boxers, leaning over Asya on the bed, his hands on the clasp of her bra, when he heard a noise. The worst possible noise to hear at that time. A doorbell. Cam looked up at Asya, like a deer in the headlights. "We ordered food." He said, clearly having forgot about it entirely until that very moment. He looked down at the fairly obvious bulge between his legs. "What are we gonna do?" He asked, beginning to laugh.

"I will always want you around." Asya replied quietly. Surely his offer to be there for her was proof that he wanted this baby as much as she did. "I love you." It was the first time that she had said it properly, without mumbling or pretending that she had said something else. She was sure that you were supposed to admit to being completely in love with someone before having a baby with them, but it just felt like the perfect time to say it. Maybe it was just that the shock hadn’t entirely set in yet, or maybe it was because she knew that there was nothing they could do to change the current situation, but Asya wasn’t as worried as anyone else in her place would have been. She hadn’t planned on things moving quite this fast, but they had never exactly been careful in the past.

He thought for a moment, then picked up the remote slowly, and turned the movie off. "I have a different idea..." He whispered, then turned her head to kiss her on the lips, passionately. He ran his fingers through her hair, and along the edge of her jaw. Finally, he started to let go of his fear. He did love her. He was scared, sure, but his fear meant nothing compared to how much he cared for her. He wanted nothing more than to be by her side for the rest of his life, no matter what fear he faced because of it. Most of all, he wanted to tell her all this with his kiss.

Asya only had one suggestion in mind for what to spend the next half hour doing, but that was kind of how they got into this mess in the first place. As much as it was still a valid suggestion, she was sure that it would freak him out even more than the actual pregnancy. Instead of even mentioning that as an option, she moved out of Cameron’s embrace to set about putting a movie on. Of course, it went without saying that it was a horror movie. She pressed play on the remote before curling up beside him again, not really paying much attention to the television. Without thinking about it, she placed her hand lightly on her belly as she moved to get comfortable. Truth be told, she was a little worried that Cam acting so calm now would mean that he would completely freak out later on and change his mind.
