As of 4x03, Homelander has canonically known a character has been with Butcher purely by recognising his scent on them not once, but TWICE in this damn show.

This is already unhinged, obsessed behaviour that gets crazier the more you stop to think about it but even better-

Maeve and Butcher had done the nasty when Homelander twigged this. It's very valid that she would smell like him after that, whereas Ryan... Ryan just played foosball with Butcher? He stood vaguely near him in the same room?? Like, what???
