Hyuk stared at him, wondering why the other was trying to make a conversation with him. Did he really seem that approachable? “No, you didn’t,” he replied, his words short and hard.
Devon looked at the guy and shrugged, “Okay, well I’m going to let you go then.” He stated not knowing what else to say.

Checking the time on his phone, the boy pursued his lips, unsure if he should join or not. He wasn’t really good at sports that involved throwing or kicking balls, he was solely good at polo and field hockey, completely different genres. He still had an hour before he needed to get ready for work, sure he could spend thirty minutes trying to learn. “Yeah, sure,” Cristoph shrugged, chucking his phone into his pocket and zipping it.
Devon stood there, he wasn’t sure if the guy wanted to play but he was hoping he would for even a few minutes. Hearing the guy say yes, he smiled, “It’s seriously really simple and easy to play.”

Javi wasn’t sure if the guy was talking about his accent or if the guy in front of him just didn’t know when someone was flirting. Either way he shrugged it off and grabbed the ball again, throwing it up and this time making it. “Yeah. I can. You looking to get your ass kicked?”
Devon looked at the guy as he took the ball again and laughed a little and nodded, “Oh a little competition never hurt no one. You sure you’re going to win?”

I used to play a little with my dad when I was a kid, but I think he used to let me win.
“Oh well I am sure yo can play again now. I mean I can help you. Just for fun.”

“Sure,” she said with a nod of finality. Catching the ball, she held onto it for a moment, extracting her phone from her armband. Riley wrapped it in her earphones and carefully placed it off to the side before beginning to dribble. “Please tell me you’re up for an actual one-on-one and not just practice.” She smiled, waiting for his reply.
As he passed the ball to the girl he smiled a little and nodded watching her dribble the ball before nodding, “Well of course, it’ll be fun I am sure. Let’s do it.” He stated getting prepared.

Aldebaran crouched and searched, not turning around. “Unless you can find my 1TB memory card with tons of pictures of discoveries I’ve made from space as well as photos of a butterfly evolving, there’s not much you can do” he said, realizing the coldness of his statement after a while, which prompts him to turn around at some point. “Thank you, though, it’s sweet of you” he says, turning back.
Devon wasn’t sure what he was looking for but he nodded, “Well I can try and look for you Was this the last place you had it?” He said hoping that it would give him some idea of knowing if it was around here for definite. He nodded, “Yeah you’re welcome, no problem.”

“Sorry,” he grumbled, not meaning to be rude but once again sounding like it. That was his problem, he always sounded like he was being rude yet it was never his intention. Okay, maybe sometimes he wanted to be rude if it kept others away from him. He watched as the ball bounced off the board and made his way over to him. Hesitant at first, he picked it up and made a shot, getting it in the hoop.
Devon stood there looking at he guy tilting his head, “Oh no problem. Just.. Well did I do anything to offend you?” He wasn’t used to quiet people around Charlton it never happened here.

“Are you asking me to play a pickup game or you just want to see my junk in my basketball shorts?” Javi smirked as he asked for the ball and bounced it between his legs before throwing it up for a shot that he missed. “Yeah, basketball is not my best sport.”
Devon stood there a little confused at what the guy was saying and he shock his head, “Okay you literally confused me there but no, i was just asking if you wanted to join in.” He nodded rolling his eyes for a moment, “Can you play though?”

The boy was just untangling his headphones, stopping in his tracks as the knots got more and more complicated, focusing his full attention to the cords. Cristoph was in his training gear, stopping right beside the basketball court, easily seeming as if he wished to play. “Oh uh, I don’t know how to play, sorry,” the boy apologised as he looked towards the boy standing on the pavement. This was Cris’ first time properly going for a run since his physical therapist allowed him again, sure his previous injury to his ankle had healed. He tried to cheat his way a couple times, but as he limped into her office, the doctor could immediately tell. He’s had to give up a sport before, he wasn’t going to let an injury keep him from running his weekly 20 miles.
Devon stood there bouncing the ball tilting is head to the side looking at he guy examining everything that he could at the time. Shaking his head, “Well you know I could teach you, I have been playing for a long while now.”

Riley twirled her hair up into a perfect ponytail and headed out for a jog as she did on most days. Finding herself near the basketball courts, she slowed down a little, taking a drink of water, and hearing the young man’s invitation. “Looking for some competition?” she asked, smiling and heading over toward him.
Devon stood there on the court practicing his shots as he heard a girl speak and he smiled briefly nodding, laughing, “You know me too well I think. Yeah of course I am, I like competition when it comes to basketball. You want to join me?” He asked putting a hand through his hair before bouncing the ball.

Oh hey, sorry that I interrupted you. Basketball really isn’t my thing, but I could try.
Devon looked over at him and nodded, “Have you played before? I am sure you could play.”

“I usually am, this was the only exception.” Preity rolled her eyes with a smile and nodded. “Okay, I’m ready. Come on and join in.” She began to sing, her eyes lighting up when people threw in some coins in their cup. “It’s working,” she whispered.
He laughed, “Oh really? So you left it for me to plan it, and I was hoping you would plan it.” He shock his head before laughing before nodding taking a deep breath. As she started to sing he joined in before seeing the coins in their cup and nodded, “I can see that, lets see how much we can make.”

“Do I look like the kind of girl who plays basket ball?” Freya questioned, raising her head. “Actually, I do like a bit of sport but I’m a girl and girls play netball instead.” She rolled her eyes at her own statement and took hold of the ball after it bounced against the ground. Freya then threw it at the other. “You play, I’ll watch.”
Raising his eyebrows he nodded, “Okay well fair point, just thought I would ask either way.” He stated and laughed a little nodding, “Well you see Netball and Basketball are close to the same and you do know some girls play Basketball. Are you just afraid of the competition?” He nodded as he caught the ball from her and started to bounce it on the floor, “Okay then enjoy the show.”
“Hmm? Oh no, I didn’t…” he wasn’t expecting to find someone at this hour in here. “I just left something I need around here. Just…ignore me” he says, laughing nervously and going for the benches, searching for the memory of his computer.
Devon looked over at the guy and nodded, “Okay are you sure?” He asked before letting him go off and find something, “Okay, is there anything I can help with, I can put the ball down for now.”

One hand gripped on the strap of his backpack and the other placing an earphone piece in his ear, Hyuk walked back on his way home to his apartment. He didn’t expect to be spoken to on his journey home and could only give the other a look of surprise. With an annoyed expression, he removed the earphone piece and held out his hand. “Do I look like I want to play?” He was good at basketball, in fact better than average, but he didn’t show that off to others.
Devon stood there, he was having a little fun before hearing the expression on the guys voice when he answered and was shocked, “Dude, I was asking a question and only being nice. You can just say no, you didn’t need to sound so rude.” He threw his head back before making another shot.
Devon was on the basket ball court trying to clear his mind, he wasn’t really a sport person but he could play basket ball if he had to or wanted to. As he started bouncing the ball, he shot the ball through the hoop a few times before hearing footsteps so he turned around, “Oh Hi, feel free to join if you like.”
