lowkey hate when non-hindus try to romanticise vedic placements that are considered to be negative, because there are stories behind it, there is meaning behind it, you can say "this is not bad, it's just misunderstood" all you want, but that is not going to change the WHY of it.
Saturn in 4th, Rahu/ Ketu conjunct Sun/Moon, Saturn conjunct Sun, these placements are not bad because people are jealous, or because they are misunderstood or some other bullshit reason;
Saturn HATES sun. In Hinduism, I won't tell the entire story, but sun did not treat saturn nicely, saturn is sun's son, it's like a pretty long story, but yeah, the sun later realises his mistake but saturn kinda...rejects the apology, so saturn is not sun's enemy but sun is saturn's enemy. Saturn conjunct sun in close degree is considered to be one of the worst placements in vedic astrology. It needs to be aspected by Jupiter to mellow down the negative impact.
Similarly, when a demon entered the gods' camp to drink the nectar of immortality, the sun and the moon god discovered the demon and reported him to lord vishnu, due to which the demon's head was severed, but he had already become immortal so the head became rahu and the body became ketu, that is why, when either is in conjunction with sun or moon, it takes its revenge.
The moon god wanted to marry saturn's sister, saturn was like, nope, you had a child without marriage, you are not a good guy. Moon god then kidnapped saturn's sister, saturn got rightfully pissed, he cursed the moon. So saturn does not do well when its in 4th house, or in conjunction with moon or aspecting it.
In vedic astrology, every placement, every nakshatra, every observation is related to a mythological story, you can't romanticise it or act like it's not bad based on your perception of it. All these stories have a lesson, if saturn is conjunct sun in 4th house, then you may have a painful family life, there may be disharmony in family, but you are not allowed to do anything about it, you are not allowed to be angry, you need to keep on working towards maintaining harmony or realising why those things needed to happen, similar to how the sun god did.
It became a really long post but yeah, it really annoys me when people see vedic astrology in isolation because it's inherently connected to Hinduism, you can't UNDERSTAND vedic if you have no knowledge of the stories that have led the planets to become as they are.
Saturn is not bad, but it feels weird when people romanticise it because it's not.....that simple. Saturn was abandoned by his own father, but saturn considers lord shiva to be his guide, lord shiva relies on tough love, that was saturn's upbringing, so now it does the same to others. It's a tough planet to get through, that's all I am going to say. Saturn is not misunderstood, it just IS.
This is even more true for nakshatras, but I am not even going to get into it.....that pisses me off on a whole different level.
the placement in your chart that's secretly running your life entirely ♡
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵︵︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿୨
a little observation post because everyone seems to obsess over their big three, but honestly, it's usually the placements no one talks about that are ruling the entire chart.
• your moon sign is doing more work than your sun ever has. like… your sun is who you are on paper, but your moon is who you are at 1am when no one's watching in your room and what you're doing EXACTLY. the way you self-soothe, the way you panic, the foods you crave when you're sad, it's all moon. people will date your sun and then break up with your moon hehe.
• your mercury runs your relationships more than your venus does, and nobody talks about this. you can have the sweetest venus in the world but if your mercury can't communicate it, it doesn't land. the way you text, the way you argue, the way you go quiet, that's the placement people actually experience. though the REASON why you broke up, could be your venus' and mercury's fault.
• your rising sign is literally your face. like the energy people pick up in the first three seconds before you've said anything. it's also why two people with the same sun sign can feel completely different in a room. though I can always spot a sagittarius rising in a room.
• your chart ruler (the planet that rules your rising) is honestly the main character of your chart and most people don't even know which one is theirs. if your rising is taurus, your venus is running everything. if your rising is scorpio, your mars and pluto are basically co-piloting your life. it explains so much once you find it. and once you'll figure it out (or ask me to do it), focus on those exact planets more, they literally rule your entire chart to begin with.
• your saturn placement is the thing you're quietly insecure about but also the thing you'll become weirdly excellent at by your thirties. it's the area of life where you feel behind for years and then suddenly everyone's asking you for advice about it.
• your moon's house placement tells you where you emotionally live. like literally, 4th house moons need a home base, 7th house moons need a person, 11th house moons need their friends, 12th house moons need to disappear for a week every so often. it's not personality, it's emotional infrastructure.
• your venus sign is less about who you love and more about how you want to be loved. and most people are out here giving their partners venus-in-their-own-sign love instead of venus-in-their-partner's-sign love, which is why everyone feels slightly unseen idk.
• your mars is the placement that exposes you the fastest. how you flirt, how you fight, how you chase, how you give up. you can fake every other placement in your chart but your mars shows up the second you want something. ESPECIALLY if it rules your chart.
• your 12th house placements are the things you don't even know you're doing. they're the patterns other people notice about you before you do. it's the most honest part of your chart and also the part you have the least access to, which is so cruel of the universe honestly!
• and your north node? that's the placement that feels uncomfortable on purpose. it's the version of you that you're growing into, which is why it feels like wearing someone else's clothes for most of your twenties.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵︵︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿୨
honestly half the people i read for come in asking about their sun sign and leave realizing their entire life makes sense because of one placement they'd never heard of ♡

routines in traditional astrology
book an astrology analysis
my caps lock did stay on for most of this introduction, and that’s because i’ve been seeing an alarming amount of misinformation on the topic recently. i don’t want people to be misreading their natal charts (or other peoples). i want to really beat it into your heads that if you spend enough time looking at any given nativity, you’ll start to see everything everywhere, and that’s because it’s all connected. the planets in the house inform the topic at hand, but so do the house rulers, bound lords, triplicity lords, etc.
when it comes to routines specifically, the main houses that you’re going to want to look at are the 3rd and the 6th houses. BUT depending on what types of routines you’re looking for, you will also want to add other houses and planets into the mix. routines regarding higher education will be 6th house, 9th house, sun, mercury, jupiter. routines regarding sex will be 6th house, 5th house, 8th house, mars, venus, and sometimes moon and even mercury. routines regarding mental health or emotional wellbeing will be 6th house, 12th house, 3rd house, 2nd house, moon, saturn, mercury, and sometimes sun and venus or mars. routines regarding home and family life will be shown by the 3rd house, 4th house, 7th house if they’re married/live with friends, 6th house if they have any pets, 12th house if they live alone, moon, sun, and mercury. routines regarding spirituality or religion are shown in the 3rd house, 9th house, mercury, jupiter, venus, and sun.
you have to know which spices to add to the soup depending on what the topic at hand is—this is why the basics literally cannot be over studied. this is a “yes, and” situation. not a “no, but” or “no, because” situation.
there is never going to be one, single, house or planet that will tell you everything there is to know about one single topic! it’s not a matter of “the 6th house doesn’t show your routines because… look at this house instead” OR “the 3rd house doesn’t show your routines because blah blah blah” BOTH HOUSES SHOW THE NATIVES ROUTINES! YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT BOTH HOUSES TO GET THE FULL STORY ABOUT THAT PERSON’S ROUTINES THIS WILL NEVER BE A ONE OR THE OTHER TYPE OF SITUATION!!!
EVERY SINGLE THING THAT YOU CAN FIND INDICATED IN A PERSON’S NATAL CHART IS INDICATED BY MORE THAN ONE HOUSE AND MORE THAN ONE PLANET IN ADDITION TO THE RULERS OF SAID HOUSES! THAT’S WHAT MAKES EACH NATIVITY SO UNIQUE EVEN IF IT APPEARS TO HAVE SIMILAR PLACEMENTS TO ANOTHER NATAL CHART!!!
i feel like i’ve said this a million times, but i keep seeing posts in my feed arguing about how “3rd house isn’t education because 9th house is” and someone else going “no, 9th house isn’t education because the 3rd house blah blah blah” and i’m not going to tag you, but you’re both wrong, you both look stupid, you both need to study astrology more! all of the planets and houses have significations that slightly overlap with each other in the most subtle ways, and that’s what makes the intricacies of each individual nativity so unique! WHEN YOU’RE LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT EVERYTHING THAT INDICATES THAT TOPIC, AND FILTER OUT THE TIES THAT BIND, IN ORDER TO GET THE COMPLETELY UNIQUE BLUEPRINT FOR THAT SPECIFIC NATIVITY. a lot of charts that look similar on the surface are actually completely different once you get into more traditional methods like decans/bounds, triplicities, time lords, master of nativity, sect, etc.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT IT’S ALL CONNECTED! THIS IS NOT A CONSPIRACY THEORY, EVERY SINGLE PART OF THE NATAL CHAR IS CONNECTED WITH OTHER PARTS OF THE NATAL CHART AND YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO COMPARTMENTALIZE THEM! THERE ARE LITTLE STRINGS TYING EVERYTHING TOGETHER! YOUR NATAL CHART IS NOT A SCULPTURE OR A 3D MAP OR A STORAGE UNIT FILLED WITH NEATLY ORGANIZED BOXES, IT’S A SPIDERWEB MADE BY A SPIDER THAT WAS ON METH OR CRACK OR COCAINE OR CAFFEINE! EVERYTHING IS TIED TOGETHER AND YOU CANNOT PULL ON ONE THREAD WITHOUT THE WHOLE DAMN THING UNRAVELING!!!
~
for clarity in this post, when talking about routines i am talking about anything you do daily or weekly. a repetitive task that is consistently performed whether you like it, choose to do it consciously, feel forced into it, or it benefits your life or not.
traditions are typically tasks that are performed to provide emotional closeness/releif or build/foster community, and they are performed with a maximum frequency of once per month, but an average of once per year.
rituals can be performed with any frequency, but are most commonly spiritual in nature, or require more purpose and emotion than routines. rituals are frequently a part of a person’s routines. for example: praying to your god every morning, leaving weekly offerings to them, or attending a worship service every sunday can be categorized as both a ritual and routine.
6th house
this house is most typically thought of first when we talk about routines in astrology, and while i have seen a couple people say that that’s incorrect, this is the most commonly referred to house mentioned when it comes to routines for a reason.
the 6th house is the house of bad fortune. it indicates issues and fortune (fate) relating to work, coworkers, pets, physical health, and illness.
people commonly (and correctly) associate this house with routines, because what does 90% human civilization do 5/7 days a week? they go to work. they spend time dealing with their coworkers. that’s a routine. people with pets care for them daily. that’s a routine. is your work schedule sporadic and inconsistent? you work from home? you’re unemployed (can’t keep a job) due to physical or mental health reasons?
your health is both a product of your routines, and a thing that impacts them. a person with anemia will take an iron pill every day, every other day, every week, or however often their doctor tells them too. that’s a routine.
every single person on this planet eats, showers, and brushes their teeth daily to maintain their health. that’s a routine. if you take a shit every day because you’re healthy and regular? that’s a routine. you go to the gym 3x a week to build muscle or maintain your heart health? that’s a routine.
don’t you fucking dare try to tell me that the 6th house doesn’t show routines when all of these specific routines are primarily shown in the 6th house, and by the condition of the 6th house ruler.
3rd house
the 3rd house indicates your rituals and habits. it’s your neighborhood, your siblings, your early education, your communications style, and your comfort zone alike.
this house shows the routines that are not as tedious, tiresome, or public as going to work every day or maintaining your physical health—but also not as private as the 4th, 12th, or 8th houses.
do you make your bed as soon as you wake up every morning? that’s a routine. do you type “lol” at the end of ever sentence instead of using a period? that’s a routine. do you lay in the sun for an hour every saturday because you fear you might go insane if you don’t? that’s a routine. is gilmore girls your favorite comfort show? do you watch it every autumn? that’s a routine. do you have a rocky relationship with your siblings and get physically ill every time you talk to them? that’s a routine. spend all your spare time at your nearest dog park because you hate being indoors? that’s a routine. spend all your time locked in your bedroom because you’ve got agoraphobia? that’s a routine—and while the agoraphobia thing is also going to be indicated by your 6th house/it’s ruler, it drastically narrows your comfort zone/neighborhood/short term daily travel, which will also be shown by the 3rd house and it’s ruler.
don’t you fucking dare try to tell me that the 3rd house doesn’t show routines when all of these specific routines are primarily shown in the 3rd house, and by the condition of the 3rd house ruler.
sun
the condition of the sun shows the authority a person has over their own life, their mind, their form, their intellect, their friendships, and the height of their fortunes. it also rules over the head.
whether or not the sun is connected by way of rulership or dispositorship to the 6th or 3rd houses, it’s condition must still be taken into account with this topic simply because it shows the height of one’s fortunes, and their mind.
WHETHER A PERSON’S DAILY ROUTINES AND HABITS ARE DETRIMENTAL OR BENEFICIAL TO THEIR PHYSICAL OR OVERALL VITALITY IT WILL BE SHOWN IN THE CONDITION OF THEIR SUN (and sometimes mercury) WHEN USING TRADITIONAL METHODS.
mercury
mercury also shows a person intellect or mode of logic, as well as their friends and communication styles. in addition to it’s similarities with the sun, mercury shows how obedient a person is, how they make decisions, who they are likely to follow or what lines of thought they are likely to subscribe to, how they make decisions, how versatile they are. it rules the tongue, windpipe, hands, shoulders, fingers, and joints.
WHETHER A PERSON’S DAILY ROUTINES AND HABITS ARE DETRIMENTAL OR BENEFICIAL TO THEIR MENTAL VITALITY IT WILL BE SHOWN IN THE CONDITION OF THEIR MERCURY (and sometimes sun) WHEN USING TRADITIONAL METHODS.
4th house
the 4th house shows the home, family (blood or otherwise, but typically blood), property, the father, privacy, childhood, and foundations.
the routines that you only perform in the privacy of your own home are going to be shown here. routines shared with family.
12th house
the 12th house shows the routines that you run in your mind. how do you routinely think? about yourself? about others? what are your routines that border on self sabotage? what do you do when you’re alone? what are your recurring dreams like? do you have dreams at all?
the routines that impact your literal-happen while you’re sleeping-dreams, that carve your subconscious from the granite of your soul, that are mainly practiced while you are completely alone, and that create/impact your mental health, are found here in this house.
moon
the moon shows a person’s body and appearance, their overall fortune/fate, gains, lawful marriage,
WHETHER A PERSON’S DAILY ROUTINES AND HABITS ARE DETRIMENTAL OR BENEFICIAL TO THEIR EMOTIONAL VITALITY IT WILL BE SHOWN IN THE CONDITION OF THEIR MOON (and sometimes venus) WHEN USING TRADITIONAL METHODS.
7th house
the 7th house shows your routines when it comes to relationships. the sign this house is in, and planets in this house show your routines when it comes to partnerships. what kind of partner are you? what’s your attitude towards signing contracts? what are your open enemies like? what’s the energy behind your public feuds? what type of men (or women, or squirrels) do you routinely choose to date? how does your behavior impact these relationships, and what exactly is that behavior? what are your clients like?
every single one of your romantic and business relationships requires routine maintenance in order to survive and thrive. what are those routines like?
if you’ve ever been in a romantic relationship that lasted longer than 2 weeks (or maybe a month), helped more than one client in the business you run, openly fought or feuded with someone, or had a close friendship that lasted longer than a month—the routines you instinctively built to build and maintain these things will be found in this house.
2nd house
how do you take care of your stuff? how often do you check your bank account or go over your finances? how good are you at sticking to your budget? the common thread in the things that you buy, is a routine. if you go grocery shopping once a week, that’s a routine. how much money you regularly spend on these trips, what you spend it on,
your income is found in this house. if you get paid every friday, that’s a routine. if you get paid every other thursday, that’s a routine. if you make $25 an hour, and you go to work 25 hours a week, that’s a routine. what you do for work, and sometimes how often you go to work, is found in the 6th house—but the money that you make from your job? the cashflow coming in, which impacts the cashflow going out? those are also routines. you can find them in the second house.
your self esteem and security are found in this house as well. do you wake up every morning and tell yourself that you’re a shit person who’s fatter than you should be, and ugly as fuck? that’s a routine. it impacts your self esteem, which impacts the way you interact with the world around you, which impacts how you’re perceived by others, which impacts how you’re treated by others, which impacts your job and relationship opportunities, which impacts your overall security (financial, mental/emotional, and otherwise)—and can be found in this house.
11th house
what’s your friend group like? do you even have any friends?
if you only spend time with friends once a week, that’s a routine.
if you never spend time with friends, that’s also a routine.
how do you behave at social gatherings? did you know that’s also a routine? if whenever you leave your house to spend time with others, you choose to sit towards the back of a crowded room, while everyone else is fighting over seats near the front or mingling loudly in the middle—that’s a routine.
if you never leave the house because you don’t like people, or you have physical health issues, that’s a routine. it’s (health issues that cause social isolation) going to be shown here and in the 6th house.
1st house
this house is your body, personality, and appearance.
do you only ever wear blue shirts to work, and green shirts to the grocery store? that’s a routine.
do you get your hair cut into a pretty bob every 2-3 months? that’s a routine.
do you only shower and brush your teeth twice a week? that’s a routine. it impacts your appearance. you likely view it as either an unchangable personality trait, or the result of one. this particular routine can be seen in the 1st, 2nd, 12th, and 6th houses COMBINED! only talk about the ties that bind.
My venus is good, so girls get attracted to me. (No sir.)
Yes venus represents charm, your wife, your external facade, your luxuries, love etc but it's not the sole reason why people get attracted to you, one can have a debilitated (venus in virgo) or a weak venus( in the 6th, 8th, 12th house or of lesser degree) yet able to attract people.
Now what planets make you attractive, it's your Rising sign, planet sitting in your rising sign(who you are) , your 4th house Lord and the planet sitting in it, Mars(your masculine traits) , mercury(your intellect) and Venus, but because we are in kali kaal it's also Rahu( the power to attract )
I took the 4th house in consideration as it represents the public.
So just a good venus isn't enough to attract the attention.
This post will get longer but let me yap, certain positions also show what kind of people you attract in life
The houses that are important
1st house - it's who you are, how you look, how you appear to be.
2nd and 3rd house - voice and communication, people connect with how you speak and what you speak
4th house - public support (and yes money talks - it represents your wealth and luxury)
5th house- your love affairs and your initial education
10th - your work, (reason why people love you)
The planets :-
Moon in 6th, 8th, 10th, 12 moon darakarak, attracts emotionally unavailable, someone who needs emotional support
Strong Jupiter, Jupiter in Central houses, exalted Jupiter, Jupiter + sat (aspects or conjunction) attracts people who are teachers, mentors, someone who can contribute to enrichment of wisdom , knowledge and spirituality
Strong rahu influence, rahu in 3rd, 6th, 11th, 10th, 9th - Sir you get the advantage of attracting people of your choice. The better the rahu, the better your manipulative skills. (Bonus points if it's alone and in favorable zodiacs)
Mercury, (my fav) , mercury atmakarak, or strong mercury in 1st, 2nd,3rd, 5th ,mercury in Aquarius/libra/virgo/Jupiter+mercury, sat+mercury, sun+mercury, venus+mercury, mercury is communication, the stronger it is, the better communication skills person have, and as you know your way to charm people with your words.
Leo zodiac and sun placements and it's aspects show the highlight of your life.Sun only have 1 aspect that's on the 7th house from where it's sitting For example if someone has Capricorn sun in H1
Then the aspect is on the 7th house of spouse ,business ,money from their job and their 8th house will be Leo , so the individual might be more focused on himself (1h sun) their business /spouse and the 8th house (in laws, occult, mysterious sciences, research) .
You can drop your vedic astrology placements and we can see if the areas sun rules are dominating in your life or not.
Hey,
You can call me Gaura!
I'm 26 yr old, I'll posting my astrology observations/facts that i know and basic stuff related with astrology here. Most of them are observations, some of it is the things I've learned from different sources and astrologers.
Disclaimer : I'm not an astrologer, I don't have much knowledge about tropical and western astrology, my main work is about vedic astrology, it's something that interested me since I was 6, but I haven't learned or pursued it professionally . Thankyou!
We are emotionally attached to the things and relations where moon aspects are. And also the relationships represented by Cancer sign in your horoscope .Basically the moon only has 7th aspect so it will look to a house that's opposite to it
For example we might be emotionally attached with our spouse/business/our paternal grandfather (represented by 7th house) if our moon is in 1st house.
