@devoteesam
i’m tired of you still tied to me.
As Ethel Cain said, to be known the way you should is to put yourself through Hell
So pretty
supernatural really opened with the most incestual scene and then added in the women in white accusing sam of cheating just to nail it home that the brothers weren’t normal
the prettiest lamb for slaughter ♱
sketch of fem!sam in mary’s white nightgown
Sam as a character needs something to believe in, it’s very central to his character. As a kid, that was family and God. As a teen, it was just Dean and God. At Stanford, it was just God. Different parts of his life he had different faiths, but I think in the end it was just Dean. In a way, Dean is akin to Sam’s God. (For a very small period of time, it was himself).
deans face when he makes sam squirt for the first time
happy valentine’s day to samifer, the most romantic and fated pair ever
More on the side of Sam Winchester’s character regarding religion and the whole Lucifer arc that was heavy with nonconsensual sexual tension, I feel like from a gender bent perspective it would be more expected with afemale figure, the sexual subtext would just become text. whereas with male Sam it was a shock to the audience bc SA with women is expected and normalized no matter how traumatic it is, but with men, we tend to take it as seriously as we should. men have a dignity and it is humiliating to them but to women, it is only a matter of time, there's no shock factor bc all women will have an inevitable violation. Or It wouldn’t be a violation at all since they're already perceived as sex objects and SA in one way or another is “sex”. Also, the relationship with god (the ultimate patriarch) could be much more resigned if Sam were a woman, perhaps.
sam sleeping with a professor who reminds him of john… he just misses his dad so much. the professor is gruff and strict and pervy just like john.
does someone have a compilation of all the times sam is feminized in the show?
Used and abused, it’s still never enough. I am Unpunishable.
Dean looks to Sam like he is Mary: with adoration and love, but also with anger that she ‘left’. He expects too much of him while also not knowing what he should expect.
Sam looks to Dean like he is John: with fear and respect. Sometimes anger, but only if he feels daring (he feels that less and less). With love too big to express.
day 2 of ur period
it’s time for a username change. goodbye girlboysam welcome home devoteesam
what’s really interesting is that a lot of sam haters want dean to both be his sole caretaker/father figure and for sam to be an abusive patriarchal figure towards him. two statement that almost directly contradict each other…
devout sam who vows off premarital sex vs dean who insists that if they’re married incest is not bad
