what if MOC!Dean reminded Sam a lot of the version Lucifer came up of Dean in the cage?

(in the cage) everything feels right and it’s Dean and he’s going to save him but something is wrong and he’s getting violent and he’s saying things he doesn’t mean.

And MOC!Dean is doing just that. Sam’s desperate to fix this; sometimes having to force himself to believe that he isn’t in the cage and this is the Mark and not Lucifer’s version of Dean.

But it’s hard when Dean is acting so out of character. Especially with the things he says; telling Sam it should be him that is dead instead of Charlie. It’s obviously not true. Dean clearly does not believe that. If Sam’s Dean, if The Dean, did believe that, he wouldn’t have sold his soul those years ago and burned in Hell for 40 years. If he believed that, he wouldn’t have tricked Sam into being possessed by an unknown angel. Sam reminds this to himself daily. It’s become a background chant for him whenever he is around Dean. “This isn’t Lucifer. This is Dean. This is Dean with the Mark of Cain. This isn’t The Dean. But this isn’t Lucifer.”

idk what show this fandom watched because every day i see takes where dean is framed as some physically weak, fragile princess and sam as a hyper-strong daddy dom and like .. did everyone miss multiple scenes where dean punches sam hard enough to knock him off balance and send him to the ground??

dean can, and does, physically overpower his 6'5 brother with a single hit.

remember when sam was dealing with major head trauma (both from the fight with the leviathans and the wall coming down) and dean hit him hard in the face because he was mad with sam for disappearing and taking his car without his permission. people who say that dean is sweet and soft and like a mommy to sam are either blind or clearly have not watched the show.

people who claim that dean has never been physically or emotionally abusive to sam disgust me. what you are doing is actively trying to invalidate experience of victims of domestic abuse. the fact that dean and sam are siblings does not erase the abuse and power imbalance in their relationship.

spn fandom is way too comfortable with calling sam a freak and a creep while acting like dean is an innocent, abused gay bottom.

dean who is canonically straight and homophobic, calls his own mother a babe and is attracted to underage girls, gets off on torturing people in hell, and makes rape jokes about his freshly violated little brother.

people talk all the time about how soulless sam was creepy for letting dean turn into a vampire while completely ignoring the creepy look in dean's eyes when he tells freshly raped and violated sam that he would do it (violate sam) again. 'creep dean is not real' my ass.

and you know what makes this dean even creepier than soulless sam? he has his soul intact. say what you want, but to me, living with an abuser (and i say it lovingly because i love how insane dean is!), who knows he hurts you and keeps doing it is way scarier than being betrayed once by someone without a soul.

and it is also worth noting that soulless sam is punished through brutality! he gets beaten down, knocked unconscious, and fixed by force! sam is punished and feels guilty once he is re-souled. dean violates sam and feels no comparable guilt (and sam almost immediately forgives him anyway).

it is insane how later seasons sam canonically flinches when dean gets angry, and yet the entire fandom is convinced that their relationship is all fluffy and healthy and dean is an uwu caring soft omega mommy while sam is always viewed as a controlling daddy dom who abuses dean 24/7.

i love conflicted & tragic wincest. i love dean who locks up his screaming baby brother in a basement and says “at least he dies human” which really means “at least he dies mine”. i love sam who’s devoted to his big brother with his whole being, but also wants to get out and run away as far as possible

can we stop with this endless “john abused and raped dean, and sam was jealous and possessive because his only ever desire was to own and control dean” nonsense? none of this interpretation is supported by canon. and honestly, the fandom’s obsession with the line “your daddy brainwashed you and touched you in a bad place” is getting really annoying, because most people don’t even understand that henriksen doesn’t mean a literal physical or sexual violation. he says it as an idiom for emotional warping and refers to john turning his children into soldiers

and if we’re going with this “one of them was raped by their father and the other was unaware of it” trope, then it most realistically fits john raping sam, because aside from the fact that john always wanted to beat the defiance out of sam, which already makes their relationship abusive enough, he literally says in his journal that he sees his dead wife in sam and he also sent dean away to stay with little sammy all alone at the motel. not to mention that sam is canonically shown to be the only one who’s subjected to john’s physical violence
