The TechGirls are so great. They came to Tumblr HQ yesterday and our engineers answered their questions about Tumblr, about tech, about being a woman in tech, about the future of tech, oh, all kinds of stuff. “Totally the happiest panel ever,” according to alittlespace.

PK is growing! Next week we will be starting renovations on our offices, because with new staff we are running out of space! It is an exciting problem to have!

Coding is not just for boys! Google and Shapeways have teamed up to encourages girls and boys to code, by allowing them to design and print their own 3D Bracelet.

UPS Store Reflects on Having a 3D Printer 

Great article on the use and interaction average customers have had with a 3D Printer. 

“The 3-D print sector increased by 21% between 2012 and 2013,” says the UPS Store's Small Business Technology leader Daniel Remba. “The growth in our stores’s sales of 3-D print services has been in line with that trend, and continues to increase as more consumers become aware of our 3-D print offering.” In fact, it has actually acted as a gateway to offering small businesses other existing printing and mailbox services.

Hasbro to sell 3-D printed 'My Little Pony' art

Hasbro said it plans to partner with 3-D printing company Shapeways to sell fan art inspired by My Little Pony. The New York Times reports.

A great example of how 3D printing does not have to infringe or monetize. Michael Weinberg almost predicted this a few years ago. [x]
