this is the 14th fucking day of 2016, and look what has already happened

so, look. the capital city of my country just got kamikaze bombed today. jakarta, indonesia. i live a few hours from there. you know what got bombed? a mall. but the terrorists didn’t just target the entire mall, they specifically targeted American shops. McDonalds, KFC, Starbucks. right after, the terrorists started shooting the police and citizens. The officials speculated that it was ISIS. but you know what?

there is no #prayforjakarta trending in twitter. do you know how my people responded right after the bombs and the shootings? the workers continued working. the drivers continued driving. the cooks continued cooking. we know that this is a terrible and sad event, yet we do not want to remain in the past and retaliate against those who did against us. when paris got bombed, they got global support and coverage. all the first-world countries encouraged paris to bomb syria right back. and they did. obviously, i’m not speaking against paris and the people at all, but i’m just saying that indonesia, a muslim country, got terrorized by ISIS, and even without support of acknowledgement, we managed to mourn and move forward. just that. none of us blamed america (since they specifically targeted american-brand shops), nor syria, since we know that ISIS is NOT syria, which many, many people seem to have forgotten. we blame ISIS. we do not want to blame those who did nothing to us. i myself am catholic, and yet i do not hate any of my muslim friends and fellow citizens.

i just find it odd that when a first-world white city was bombed, everyone freaked out and told them to bomb syria right back, and yet when a muslim country is bombed, nobody seems to care.

why is #prayforsyria not trending? why is #prayforjakarta not trending? why is it that when ISIS terrorize muslim countries, everyone seems to turn blind?

and hey, i’m not going to apologize for my bad english.

Victorian Prison Conditions

Life in prison starts with the admission procedure and this must come as an enormous shock to the first time offender. The realisation of what has happened to him, and what he may experience in the future, probably sinks in for the first time. The gates close behind the prisoner and the physical examination begins in order to provide a description of the person and to note any distinquishing marks. Once completed it’s a bath and his hair is cropped to the scalp, not so much to get the prisoner clean but to humiliate him. He then dons his prison clothes and his past life as a free man is obliterated as he starts a new life as a prisoner of Her Majesty.

The diet of the convicted prisoner in the gaol was restricted to one pound of bread per day, and for dinner, two pounds of potatoes or half a pound of boiled rice with treacle. No meat was supplied. This restrictive diet led to illness and death among the prisoners, so the justice ordered that five ounces of meat and soup could be given twice a week and a larger portion of bread on those days when meat was not allowed.

Few figures in American History are as significant and memorable as Abraham Lincoln. From his birth in 1809 to his assassination in 1864 to the dedication of the Lincoln Memorial in 1922, the timeline of Abraham Lincoln’s life and legacy changed our nation profoundly.

The popular image of Lincoln has changed many times. He is beloved as the Great Emancipator and the Savior of the Union, but many people, particularly in the South, regard him as a tyrant and a dictator. He has been accused of being racist, though his views were in keeping with those of most Americans of his times. During his presidency, association with black leaders such as Frederick Douglass seem to have made his racial views more enlightened than those of most mid-19th-century Americans.

Entered in active service with the Russian Aerospace Forces in 2014, the Sukhoi Su-34 Fullback is a two-seat strike fighter with a maximum range of 4,000 km, a payload of up to 12,000 kg on 12 hardpoints, the ability to carry R-77 and and R-73 missiles, a 30 mm GSh-30-1 cannon, and a Khibiny ECM suite.

Six Fullbacks were deployed to Latakia, to join the RuAF contingent in Syria on Sept. 28. The aircraft took part to the first air strikes on ISIS targets using the only PGMs (Precision Guided Munitions) dropped by the Russian planes (mainlydelivering dumb bombs) so far: the KAB-500S.
