A member of a german student fraternity with a so called “Schmiss”, a dueling injury resulting in a visible scar, after a “mensur”.  A Schmiss was considered a status symbol among certain social groups. Picture taken in the early 1930s.

I started scanning a new album, one of my favorites. It features some unusual material, mostly student and village life in 1930s Germany. Sadly there´s not much information given about the original owner but I´m asuming it was a then young man.

We start off with a peaceful winter scenery and the first day of 1934. Enjoy!
