Haven’t really worked on my game plot in a while, been invested in other creative activities.
Here’s an image of a character that works as a line cook. My coworker and I created her. She’s trans MTF, and loves to blast Radiohead while working.
She doesn’t have a name yet, but she lives on the shoreline in a lighthouse, working that during the night while her adopted little sister works the morning shift while she sleeps in between jobs.
Art by me. Base by my coworker. Designed by me and my coworker.
I really enjoy this pointillism type of pixel style.
This is one of the creatures that I will have in my world I’m creating for my game.
If anyone has any game dev advice I would really appreciate it?
I’m an artist going into the game dev world wanting to make my own RPG platformer adventure game. As a digital artist, I’m starting off with the world building and art aspect of it. I have lots of notes written for the main plot of my story and I’ve had this world idea for about 3 or 4 years now so I’m really excited to go ahead and concept all of these characters and hopefully commission someone to make me some animated sprites from the game.
CALLING ALL GAME DEV’S
What advice would you give to people who are interesting in becoming a game developer?
I want to look into game development and I’m really intimidated by it all. I have wanted to make my own RPG/Platformer Adventure game since I was in middle school messing around on Nickelodeon’s website building my own SpongeBob platformer courses. I know it’s a lot more work than making a game on a kid’s website, but I would love any advice on getting started, advanced advice that isn’t really talked about, what you wish someone told you when you started, and any recommendations of YouTube channels or tutorials.
