Dexter is one of ‘those’ kids. You know the ones. They have notorious, villainous parents and that reputation follows them down the corridors, sparking whispers as they pass. A lot of the time, those kids aren’t accepted simply because of their parents. However, Dexter gives them many more reasons to stay out of his path. He has a reputation of his own for being snappy and blunt, with a vicious sense of humour. He finds it funny when he annoys people, and is part of the ‘Popular’ crew, mostly because they needed someone intimidating. Dexter is almost always laughing, though it isnt necessarily for a nice reason. He can twist people around his little finger, sometimes through aggression and other times through gentle, menacing persuasion. The definition of ‘badass’, Dexter would happily ride his motorcycle through the school corridors and wave at the teachers as he goes by. He loves his full name, and doesn’t mind being called by his first or his middle. He’s commonly known as Dex, or Vinny. Detention is fun for Dexter, as he can laugh with those he can stomach, and bully those he sees as pathetic. One thing he can’t stand is someone who is an easy target; kind, gentle, loving - These are personality traits that he finds ‘wishy washy’. He prefers people with a spark, a fiery nature that he can compete with; but to a certain degree. Sometimes those people can rub him up the wrong way. Dexter does not like being challenged - Not because he’s scared, but because he’s disgusted that you think you can stand up to him. Within the ‘Populars’, he is the silent leader, appearing to just be the intimidating muscle. Sarcasm is something he uses on a daily basis, and teasing others is a hobby. He can be charming when he wants to be, with a charismatic air and a sly glint in his eye. Dexter has gotten into plenty of fist fights, but he does have other means of making those he hates suffer. He classes very few people as actual ‘friends’, thinking of them as expendable and easily replaceable. However, he can get along with a few of the students, and will protect them if need be. Dexter would much rather have a friend he can play around with and shove into the lake every once in a while than a friend who wants a heart to heart every other week. He doesnt get too emotionally attached but that day will soon come, and he’ll either push them away or welcome the experience.
The son of Voodoo Master Dr. Facilier, also known as The Shadow Man, Dexter was of course taught the art of black magic. Since he was small, voodoo has played a huge part in his life, and now at seventeen he is an expert. When his father was taken by his ‘friends on the other side’, Dexter was sent to live with his estranged mother. Since attending WDA and the gem’s discovery, Dexter has gained a secondary ability. Darkness Manipulation makes Dex feel all-powerful. He can use it to cover he and his groups tracks when they’re up to no good, and he can use it aggressively. Rather worryingly, he is quickly becoming an expert.

Tripping up the nerdy kids, spitting chewed up balls of paper through a tube and flipping over tables are things he does on a normal day. He loves to play truth or dare, giving the nastiest dares and completing the most dangerous of tasks. A firecracker, no one dares stand in his way when he’s on a rampage. He has a surprisingly high anger threshold, but when it breaks, he is cruel and spiteful. He’s a member of what the rest of the school have dubbed the ‘Bitch Crew’ alongside Danny Kaligaris, Chloe Carson, Cindy Charming, Andrew White and Serena Darling.
