We would like to thank everyone that attended and everyone who contributed to food/money/time to the event Sunday. Unfortunately, based on the decreasing attendee amounts from year one to year three I have decided it would be best to not hold it again next year. Now there are other contributing factors besides the amount of attendees that I don't wish to get into. Now I'm not saying DFW can't hold another Promstuck next year, but someone is more than welcome to hold it, I just won't be doing it again. If you are interested please contact Alx Ardolina (FB) / mina-tia. With that being said, in a week I will be deactivating the tumblr and Facebook page. If you took any photos please send them to dfwstuck and they will be featured there!

Promstuck is upon us!

I will be accepting nominations for the following royal court categories :

King & Queen (18 and up only) Junior King & Queen (17 and younger) Prince and Princess (18 and up only) Junior Prince and Princess (17 and younger)

If we have for example 10 nominations for Queen, but none for Princess we will take the last five nominees from the Queen category and place them into the Princess category. BUT if someone is in the bottom five but has been nominated multiple times for Queen, they will stay within the Queen category and another person will be selected to move.

If someone is nominated for 2 categories or more they will be put in the first category they were nominated or secondary category if that one needs nominees.

All nominations are kept private and will not be announced till July 30th.

This is just a reminder to be purchasing your tickets for Promstuck! 10$ Cash - We will not be doing ticket purchases at the door; we are willing to arrange meeting up or small gatherings for everyone to purchase tickets! While this is a Homestuck event and Homestuck cosplay is encouraged any prom attire is welcome. That includes prom attire themed around other fandoms. Please note the event is capped at 220 guests.

Update 4/7

We are getting up and running with everyone paying for their tickets we are currently at $90 / $2000! We need half of the $2000 for our deposit! Just a reminder that we will also be at two of the 4/13 anniversary meets this up coming weekend if you would like to pay in cash or donate to the event!

Updates: - Claudia and Emily are adding another mini raffle to help raise funds for the event! Details coming soon! - We are also updating our major raffle as well to add more prizes!

Good afternoon everyone!

I need to express that if you guys would like Promstuck to happen we need you to start buying your tickets. If you cannot use paypal we will be at Homestuck events. I do not wish to lose this venue as it is the cheapest we have come across as well as a venue that will allow outside food and drinks. This is a community event, and the committee is pulling money out of their own pocket for misc. decorations, raffle prizes, ect., as well as their ticket payments for the event.

We are also looking into later dates between San Japan and Animefest, as to be after A-kon and Fourth of July to make it more convenient. Please see the event page for the Poll on dates, the original date is included.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Hi! :D We have found a venue that fits our needs perfectly for this years Promstuck! If we can book the venue by the 28th of March, we'll get 200$ off of the total booking price. Yay! For that to happen, we need everyone to buy their tickets so we can raise half the total of the rental, 1000$, by the 28th of March. In total, we have to raise 2000$ for the venue. Very few people have bought their tickets and at this rate, we will have to be forced to post pone Promstuck until we have sufficient funds. Well how much are you raising?

We are looking to raise about $3,500 - $4,000 dollars, this would cover our deposit and cover the rest of the rental, as well as the cost of decorations and other supplies.

But what about admission, won’t that cover the deposit/rental?

Yes it would cover the rental, but in the past the hosts have pulled money from their own pocket to lock in the date and the venue, the hosts this year work pay check to pay check and can only put so much money in at a time.

Will this cover my ticket price to the event?

Yes it will.

Why not just put the money your buying the prizes of the raffle into the deposit?

I am putting money into the deposit, as well as into the money for the prizes. The prizes are being donated out of pocket without reimbursement.
