I'm recovering from surgery and the painkillers are 80% to blame for the creation of this monstrosity. Still, no regrets

hi! I randomly found your crocheted dolls via google search and went through your blog and I LOVE them. I've been trying to make some as well, very beginning stages but you inspired me. The jewellery and chains on yours are so fucking cool, may I ask where you get those things from? also the mini swords and arrows and stuff, I didn't even know that was a thing you could add (idek why) asgds

Hi! thank you so much for this lovely message! I use some cheap regular jewellery that I found on kmart or thrift stores and cut them to size, some of them are buttons and sometimes I crochet using embroidery thread to make smaller details.

The swords and arrows I found them at a local craft store (but tbh they're probably from aliexpress or something similar), they're meant to be for earrings, but I cut and sand the loops off.

I haven't done a doll in a while because I took a turn to the dark side and learned how to knit. Halfway through my first-ever cardigan, mithril yarn of course!

I promised to try to share photos eons ago, but then life happened. I only have the one pic as I didn’t want to disturb anyone during the show, but the Iorveth you carefully made and mailed me is still hale and well…

AND attended The Witcher in Concert with myself and a friend when they came to Texas. Alas, I didn’t talk to the musicians/staff, but two fellow audience members found him delightful.

Thought you might appreciate knowing your lovingly and well crafted doll is still existing and is well loved in the obnoxiously turbulent Americas.

(there might be two more pictures of him somewhere- I let the pair in front of us borrow him for a photo op, but I didn’t remember their names unfortunately 😭)

If I had a nickel for every time someone took their Iroveth doll to a Witcher concert, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

@abi-kamikakushi and @kupocat you two made my whole year! Knowing they're still out there and thriving! I hope they behaved and didn't try to slay any humans.

(Also I honed my skills over the years and they look so different but I still love every one of my creations equally 😭♥️)
