When my blood sugar won't go down
When my eyesight is bad because my blood sugar has been high for a while
when your blood sugar just. won’t. go. down.
when your sugar is high at bed time.
When my blood sugar has been high for an extended period of time
I switched my medication a week ago. Since then, the gastro problems I had has gone, but my BMs have been steadily on the rise. We had to keep such a close eye on them in London which was a bit stressful and I thought it was my anxiety about tube and crowds and the heat contributing. But now I'm back and they're still on the climb. I got an appointment with my dsn for next Wednesday which was the earliest one but by then I'll be back at work and I'm not sure if I can deal with another round of this.
Sugar fun...
I'm in London. For the most part we are having an awesome time but my blood sugar is trying to ruin things. Today it went up to 26 and I genuinely don't know what to do to treat it because the metformin makes me sick and I'm on a six hour bus home later. Annoying.
Bunny trust fall!
I have had a lovely birthday so far. Being able to eat and not throw up has been the best present. Still waiting for the nurse to call me back but I know she will, the diabetic clinic takes a while to call anyone back and she has patients in between so I'm sure she'll call. Out for Chinese food with my parents tonight then having a couple of easy days before I head to London for the weekend with my boyfriend which will be great. It's been about a year since we got away anywhere so it will be lovely to have a little change of scene.
When nonbetics talk about having low blood sugar because they have not eaten for some time.
Omggg ALL the effing time -___-
It's my birthday tomorrow. For the first time in three weeks I have eaten an actual normal sized breakfast and I don't feel like I'm about to throw up. I hope my BMs stay steady so that I don't have to up the medication again. Also, my boyfriend has given me like every present he got me for my birthday already because the last few weeks have been so shitty he's been drip feeding them as ways to cheer me up which even though it means there aren't any for my birthday is even more adorable.
Someone who listens...
I just had my appointment with my diabetic nurse who discussed my shambles of a consultant appointment with me. She apologised for his attitude and listened to how I was feeling on the new meds. She's let me change them so that hopefully I won't be as sick. But more than that she's ringing the diabetic clinic to get one of the specialist nurses there to do the GAD test for me so that I can at least know for sure if I'm type 1 or 2 so that I can deal with it better. She really is so nice and I feel like she's the only person who understands even a little bit. I'm glad I'm finally getting this test so that I can know what I'm dealing with.
