medical rant about med shortages/backorders
man, fuck diabetes meds being approved for weight loss. i haven't had my trulicity (that i actually NEED so my nerves don't get fucked up any more than they already are) for a month. A MONTH. and all the other injections that could also work are ALSO ON BACKORDER.
fatphobia and vanity are killing diabetics. fuck everything.
Someone who listens...
I just had my appointment with my diabetic nurse who discussed my shambles of a consultant appointment with me. She apologised for his attitude and listened to how I was feeling on the new meds. She's let me change them so that hopefully I won't be as sick. But more than that she's ringing the diabetic clinic to get one of the specialist nurses there to do the GAD test for me so that I can at least know for sure if I'm type 1 or 2 so that I can deal with it better. She really is so nice and I feel like she's the only person who understands even a little bit. I'm glad I'm finally getting this test so that I can know what I'm dealing with.
I've been struggling all week with higher readings, generally 11-12 but no lower because I've had a chest infection and been on antibiotics. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow because I still feel sick and don't think the infection has gone. I've got a hellish, none stop day at work today with no breaks and my fasting bm was 14.1. This is going to be fun....
