I understand where youre coming from regarding knowing what the color represents... Every time you check your sugar just look at the ink.. And after a week im sure youll understand your color translation...idk...js.. I would like to be apart of the study... I own MUCKCITYTATTOOS in pahokee fl... And everyone is hiting me up about it... So i contacted mit... Fingers crossed... Anyway...thats my 2 sense...lol

Been through the usual ups and downs with diabetes. “I got this tattoo because I always wanted one by could never decide what I wanted. I don’t wear jewelry and had spent a night in the ER one time for DKA. Well apparently someone forgot that I had diabetes and instead of a saline drip I was hooked up to a glucose drip. “Hours go by and the doctors are confused on why my BG won’t come down and they realized what they had done wrong. “This tattoo serves two purposes. First to save my life if needed, and second, education. 100 years… #insulin

Banting found insulin nearly 💯 years earlier… and still we are using it almost the same thing… no pills, no monthly injections, no inhaler, no artificial pancreas…

I inject insulin with needles 5 times a day before every 🥘 meal …+long/short acting insulins.. same as 100 years ago a little girl/boy would do…

It shows that how little progress has been made and on top of it insulin prices keeps going up…and people can’t effort to live or manage this disease …

It makes you question how ethical these drug companies are ! Diabetes must be one of the most lucrative business on earth…
