A new and delightful Pearl? Why, she hadn’t even considered the idea. But when he’d said it aloud it seemed like a more splendid thought he could not have had. “I think that’s a wonderful plan, Dia.” Her formal language slipped a little in her appreciation and happiness, shortening his name affectionately as she siphoned through the racks in an attempt to find their blonde counterpart something exciting to take as a gift. "Perhaps if he likes it, the next time he will join us on our trip."
Platinum reflected briefly on the time they had met. She had been very uppity and bossy and had hardly bothered to want to learn about them. She had thought of them as her escorts and guards and nothing more. But time had given her the ability to grow fond of her companions and the delightful beep their Pokedexes made when they greeted one another each morning and she found she enjoyed her days more when Diamond and Pearl were smiling too.
It was a strange feeling. They were her friends and her most important people. She had never expected to grow so attached to a sweet pair of young men. “The gym leaders I have beaten must think I am very strange. I have two cheerleaders helping me and allowing me to share their Pokemon when I need them. But beauty and strength do fit well together. Wisdom too.” She picked up a ribbon and smiled, reaching over to tie it around the hat he was wearing. "I hope that you and Pearl help me to teach others. That you will both stand by my side when I have to help people understand. It is a little hard to imagine all of us not being together after how nice it has been to have you around. I hope it can continue even after we have made it to Mount Coronet."
He sighs happily and shuffles along to help look. Sure, he didn't know all that much about fashion but he felt that he might be able to be of some use. Having grown up with Pearl would hopefully mean he'd guess the right type of things the other would wear. "I'm glad you think so... If he came with us it would be even more fun. We'll all try on clothes and look like models."
There was no limit of what they could do together, even outside of battle. Diamond loved how fun his friends made traveling out to be. It was a trio formed by a mishap but it was the best mishap of them all. Maybe it was more of a miracle..?
Smiling, the boy stands still and lets Platinum tie on the ribbon. "But it works out well. We're a good team... Hehe. It is a little weird, though. That just means they'll remember us for longer, I think." Their tactics were definitely unique but none of them seemed to mind especially. Except maybe the gym guard.
Diamond pats the ribbon once it's on and strikes a pose he'd think a magazine model would use before laughing it off. His friend was speaking very sentimentally and he hoped that might lighten the atmosphere. "Of course, Missy..! We're all best friends now, we couldn't leave each other. There are a lot more journeys for us to have. Aah, like other regions and you'll want to try and become champion maybe, right?" He places his hands on his hips, giving a more determined look and speaks in earnest. "Pearl and I will stand by you always."
