Character introduction: AIDA

AIDA, also known as the “Artificially Intelligent Diagnostics Android”, is the deuteragonist and co-founder of Diagnostech. She works alongside Emma, who’s been steadily developing her body since childhood until she became the robot she is today.

AIDA is equipped with numerous tools to help her with diagnosing and treating machines; her hands contain tools activated by pressing the buttons along her knuckles, and on her chest is a device dubbed a “Seek-O-Scope”. The Seek-O-Scope, also known as the SOS, is a scanning device that helps AIDA pinpoint the location of maladies within a machine so she may treat them more easily.

AIDA is very polite and reserved and takes great pride in her work at the labs. Unlike her partner, AIDA is incredibly curious about other humans and organic life forms as a whole, hoping to one day be trusted by Emma enough to leave the labs to learn more about them. While she mostly only speaks when spoken to, when something spikes her curiosity, she tends to ramble excitedly without realizing.

Character introduction: Emma

Emma is the main protagonist and founder of Diagnostech; a business centred around diagnosing and repairing devices akin to a diagnostician treating their patients! She works alongside her lifelong friend and partner AIDA.

She’s a hard worker who’s always itching to show off her skills and takes her job super seriously—so seriously, in fact, she rarely leaves herself time to take breaks. With the right people, Emma is energetic and endlessly chatty about what she’s interested; especially the development of AIDA. She’s immensely proud of her work and eager to show it off the world.

Despite her sociability, Emma is also extremely anxious and quickly tires out when speaking to people for long periods of time. She views her job as a form of exposure to help her with socializing and, while she loves what she does, treasures the time she has where it’s just her and AIDA alone. She’s a chronic over-thinker who is quick to panic over hypothetical worst-case scenarios. This paranoia leads her to keeping AIDA confined in the Diagnostech labs, not wanting for her to get irreparably damaged or lost, despite the robot’s desires to someday explore the outside world.

#diagnostech #dt emma yarrow #dt aida #dt mimi machina #dt lucien noir dugard #dt zipper #dt jojo #emma’s hand is a bit unsteady but her handwriting is surprisingly readable for a doctor lol #aida writes her name very neatly and tiny in ballpoint pen #mimi liked to write her research notes in pink glittery gel pen #lucien is always a little extra with his signature but his regular handwriting is a bit sloppy #zipper doesn’t have hands so lucien just stuck a marker in its mouth and let it go nuts #jojo has big hands so he tries to write very carefully and slowly so his handwriting is a little shaky
