I just watched Fresh and itās inspired yet another Inhun AU

After yet another failed relationship, Gi-hun feels at a lost in terms of romance.
Thatās until he meets a handsome, well dressed man called In-ho. They hit it off instantly with In-ho charming his way into his life. Gi-hun constantly gushes about him to his friends Jung-bae and Sang-woo, who are apprehensive about this new suitor.
Meanwhile, In-ho has become infatuated with Gi-hun. But, he has a secret.
Heās a human meat trader.
He often goes on ādatesā with women and men, only to eventually kidnap them and harvest them for meat. Meat he sells to his clients (or, as he calls them, āThe VIPsā). All of this he does in a luxury cabin hidden away from the bright lights of Seoul.
The large pay checks he receives lets him take Gi-hun out on luxury dates and give him expensive gifts.
But, he makes a risky move when he invites Gi-hun to his cabin. With his victims still in his property, can he hide his secret from Gi-hun? Or, will he willingly expose how heās been able to afford to spoil his new boyfriend?

So, Iām now thinking of why the cult seemed so desperate to keep Gi-hun.
Iāve come up with 3 options:
Option 1: Years before Sang-woo and Gi-hun meet the group, Il-nam had a āvisionā. A vision that said one day the group would come across a man. A man who would bring them great fortune as long as they treated him well. So, when they meet Gi-hun (who matches the description Il-nam gave) the whole group instantly become enamored with him. They basically worship him, giving him the finest room, clothes and jewelry. At all times he has members of the group fawning over him, talking to him and offering him food. Gi-hun doesnāt exactly help himself here, since at the start of his and Sang-wooās stay he doesnāt realize itās a cult. He basically exceeds their expectations of the prophecy Il-nam told since heās so grateful and kind to the group. Heās constantly checking up on the younger members of the group, especially Jun-hee, a young pregnant woman. The group are obsessed with him and hate Sang-woo. Because, whoās the only person worthy of having such a wonderful being? Their leader In-ho of course!
Option 2: Another āvisionā idea. When Il-nam recruits In-ho in 2015 itās just after the death of his wife. Il-nam takes advantage of In-hoās fragile mental state and tells him that if he obeys Il-nam and helps him build their community - heāll be rewarded. How? The group will find someone of striking similarity to his wife, someone who will be able to complete In-ho. So when he meets Gi-hun he knows this is what Il-nam promised him. So he commands the group to do everything in their power to keep him safe, safe in his care.
Option 3: In-ho just really really likes Gi-hun and wanted to keep him and Il-nam and the cult didnāt take much convincing.
Inhun with Cult leader In-ho? (featuring Sangihun)
Gi-hun and his boyfriend Sang-woo are driving along a road in rural Korea in the middle of the night. Their car breaks down and Gi-hun (despite being a mechanic) canāt figure out whatās wrong. They canāt get any phone service and are miles off from the nearest service station. But after a few hours a car stops, the couple inside offer to bring the men to theirā¦ community.
They agree, and are taken to an absolutely beautiful compound with multiple luxurious buildings hidden among towering trees to mask them from view.
When they wake up the next morning, the couple takes them to meet the figure head of the group, Il-nam, and In-ho, who leads the group in day-to-day life.
The men are incredibly friendly (particularly towards Gi-hun), saying the pair can stay as long as they like and theyāll send some of the groups members to fetch and repair their car.
But Sang-woo begins noticing things, like how friendly Inho is to Gi-hun, how touchy he is, how often the members of the group try to seperate Sang-woo and Gi-hun. It doesnāt take long for him to realize the group is a cult. A cult that seems enamored with Gi-hun - they beg him to stay permanently, with some members presenting him with gifts and telling him how perfect he would be for In-ho.
He tries to tell Gi-hun they should go, but they have no way to leave and the group seems desperate to keep Gi-hun with themā¦ but not Sang-woo.
As much as I love a Inhun bathroom scene where In-ho is the one to initiate things out of obsession, I also like the idea of Gi-hun initiating things out of impulse.
Gi-hun being so pent up during the games that he practically drags āYoung-ilā to the bathrooms and asks him if he wants to ārelieve some stressā.
And heās no doe eyed lamb about it - heās commanding. Heās demanding In-ho fucks him harder, tells him to pull his hair and to be rougher with him. All the while, heās not actually doing it out of love - heās doing it to scratch an itch. Sure, he thinks his new friend is attractive - but thatās all. He has no feelings at all towards him beyond wanting this one thing. This one release.
And In-ho? In-ho actually wasnāt too taken by Gi-hun prior to this. Sure, he admired him for his good looks and was curious about their differences in ideologies. But this is where he truly becomes obsessed. He actually processes how torn up Gi-hun is following his games, that heās so pent up following everything he experienced. That he needs somebody to take care of him. He needs In-ho.
Soon enough heās trying to think of a way to get Gi-hun out of this and follows him on his heels like a lost puppy as they walk out the bathroom.
Meanwhile Gi-hun just feels so much better that he got that out of his system.
omg I just had an idea inspired by your lobotomy stuff and I have to share it with youā¦ probably lots of medical inaccuraciesā¦
So, Il-nam decides that he canāt let Gi-hun die and takes him out of the games. But, Gi-hun isnāt as docile and sweet as heād hoped - so he essentially has a procedure performed on him so heāll fit that mold.
After Il-namās death, In-ho goes to his residence to find a distressed and clearly not in his right mind Gi-hun. In-ho recognizes him as the player Il-nam took a liking to in his games and notices that heās actingā¦ off. So, he takes him to a doctor who he sees listed on a doctorās note with Gi-hunās name on it - which notes the operation and medicine prescribed to Gi-hun following it.
The doctor tells In-ho that although the operation was a success, he had instructed Il-nam to properly medicate and care for Gi-hun - which he clearly hadnāt done. He gives In-ho instructions on how to care for the other man and doses him with medicine to calm him down a bit.
But In-ho has no intentions of playing doctor with Il-namās broken toy. When him and a more docile Gi-hun return to the car, he instructs the driver to take them to an isolated location where they canā¦ disposeā¦ of the other man.
During the journey, Gi-hun begins to whine and squirm. Then, he crawls onto In-hoās lap. At first, In-ho tells him to get off of him and pushes him a bit. But Gi-hun looks up at him with these watery, confused eyes and In-ho just tuts and starts to shush and half heartedly comfort him. As the car journey continues and Gi-hun calms down, In-ho realizes he actually enjoys this. He likes feeling needed. So, In-ho changes his mind and keeps him.
Ohhhhh yes!!! Ilnam being the one who lobotomize Gihun I love it!!!
Ilnam thinks heās getting a docile kitten but instead gets a hissing tomcat. He tries to talk to Gihun at first, get him to understand his new role but Gihun REFUSES to listen. Ilnam, knowing he doesnāt have much time left, decides to just take Gihun to his own doctors and have them perform a kind of partial lobotomy.
A couple of weeks after, Gihun is docile and obedient, listening to Ilnam and doing whatever the old man wants. For the first couple of months, Ilnam would keep to Gihunās medication schedule but his health is deteriorating too so Gihun skips a lot of meds.
When Ilnam dies and his personal body guard informs Inho, Inho immediately goes over to the old manās house to get his affairs in order when he sees a distraught and crying Gihun, begging the staff to tell him where Ilnam is.
Inho immediately recognizes him from the 2020 gamesāthe man Ilnam took a liking too. Feeling somewhat guilty and frustrated, Inho takes him with him to Ilnamās doctors, thinking the man was having a mental breakdown or something.
But the doctors tell Inho that no, Ilnam just didnāt seem to keep up with Gihunās regime of medications. Confused, Inho asks medication for what. Thatās when the doctors tell him about the partial lobotomy and the meds that were supposed to keep Gihun docile and obedient. He gives Inho the same packet of instructions he gave to Ilnam, telling him itās important to follow it to the letter. He also gives Inho 90 days worth of the meds and gives Gihun a mild sedative and muscle relaxant to calm him down.
Back in the car, Inho buckles Gihun next to him and instructs the driver to take them to an isolated part Seoul so that they canā¦take care of Gihun.
Inho does NOT want to take care of Ilnamās little pet. He didnāt even know the older man had Gihun squirreled away but now that Ilnam is gone itās up to Inho to run the games and he does not have the time or the patience to take care of Ilnamās broken and used toy.
Ten minutes it k the drive, Gihun starts sniffling and moving around in his seat. Inho ignores him but then Gihun climbs into his lap, dropping his head into Inhoās shoulders and holding on tight, whimpering.
Growling, Inho would try and push him off but then Gihun would look at him with his big, wet eyes, bottom lip trembling, asking where Ilnam is and who is gonna take care of him now?
And suddenly, Inho remembers his wife, and how fragile and tired she was towards the end, and how Inho took care of her, and how he liked being the one to make sure she was happy and taken care off.
And Gihun looks so lost and confused. So half heartedly, Inho pets his head and back, comforting him. And when Gihun slips his arms around Inhoās neck and settles his head on Inhoās shoulder, nuzzling him, Inho decides maybe he would like to keep Gihun.
