i see this as an absolute win

i genuinely don't consider rhaenyra getting her period in that episode to be misogynist or that it shows her to become a hysterical woman because of it. i think it's just an acknowledgement of yet another situation rhaenyra finds herself in where she's trying to hold a traditionally masculine position and feels betrayed by the physical reminder that she wasn't born a man, similarly to the scene in season 1 where she goes into premature labor while all the men in her council are discussing plans for war without her. the reality of being someone who menstruates is that it can happen at inconvenient times when you're trying to do something important!

Please Greenlight "Go For It, Nakamura-kun!!" Season 2

Syundei (Original Author), Studio Drive, and all involved partners (including Crunchyroll)

We, the international community of fans, respectfully request the continuation of the beloved anime "Go For It, Nakamura-kun!!" with a second season.

The series, produced by Studio Drive and premiered on April 1, 2026, quickly captured the hearts of viewers worldwide. With its 13-episode first season (one cour), it delivered a unique blend of heartfelt comedy, nostalgic Shōwa/Heisei-era musical vibes, charming character animation, and sincere, relatable LGBTQ+ storytelling. The anime currently holds strong ratings (around 8,3–8,6 on major platforms such as MyAnimeList and IMDb).

Despite its relatively short first season, "Go For It, Nakamura-kun!" ! left a profound emotional impact. The finale (Episode 13) featured deeply touching moments — including Hirose’s breakup, Nakamura’s heartfelt support, and the meaningful keychain gift.

However, the open-ended conclusion (reflecting the manga’s friendship-focused tone), along with the post-credit scene, clearly suggests that Nakamura and Hirose’s relationship still has significant room to grow. This has left fans eagerly anticipating more.

The original manga by Syundei consists of one volume of "Go For It, Nakamura!" (2014–2016) and one volume of its sequel "Go For It Again, Nakamura!" (Motto Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!) (2017–2021), offering a limited but rich source of material.

We believe there are several exciting and respectful paths forward that would honor the creator’s vision:

•Developing an original anime storyline under Syundei’s supervision

•Expanding and adapting remaining or side content in greater depth

•Continuing the manga with a new volume that could later be adapted

Studio Drive has already demonstrated its dedication through a beautiful adaptation, careful handling of sensitive themes, and high production quality — including the outstanding opening by Yasuyuki Okamura & Kento Nakajima, as well as the nostalgic and varied ending sequences. The team clearly understands and values the series’ charm, emotional authenticity, and distinctive “neo-’80s” aesthetic.

This series is far more than a simple romantic comedy. It offers gentle, relatable storytelling about identity, personal growth, vulnerability, and human connection. Many fans — especially within the LGBTQ+ community — see themselves in Nakamura’s awkward struggles, quiet hopes, and moments of courage.

In a media landscape often filled with cynicism, Nakamura-kun!! stands out as a sincere and wholesome story that resonates across cultures.

Am I satisfied? No.

Did I spent the whole episode kicking, giggling, crying and forcing myself to calm down on repeat in a cycle until the end? Yes.

I feel like this episode was such a true Nakamura POV based on how many times Hirose’s face was displayed on full screen, to the point where I felt like I was on a date with my crush😭❤️

Im will take the win of my baby accepting his feelings fully, him having a real fleshed friendship with Hirose and him still (possibly) been on the same classroom again. BUT DAMN IT THEY BETTER GIVE ME A SECOND SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT OR I AM RIOTING
