"The East Palace" kinda lost me when Gu-cheon told the possessed Princess not to hate her parents too much and asked, "Do you hate them so much that you're willing to let a spirit take your body," or something like that. Uhh, Saeng Gang let the Crown Prince's spirit possess her to save herself after her own grandmother poisoned her. It was her survival instinct that made her do it, so I don't get this whole "Don't let your hate consume you" thing. Also! Why shouldn't she hate her tyrant father, lol? It's a good thing that the children of genocidal rulers openly oppose their parents. Idk, I think the scriptwriter should have made Gu-cheon focus on the fact that Saeng Gang would be branded a traitor if she killed the King, or that she could die next, instead of this "He's still your father" thing. Anyway, I still have one episode to go, and I do want to see how the story ends. I think the visuals of this drama look great, especially the character design of the elderly presiding deity of the rival shaman in Episode 5. It's just that that one scene pisses me off so bad, lol.
