i’m so annoyed because last month we had this big town hall at my job about how they’re embracing ai tools so that we “don’t get left behind” but so far that’s amounted to them opting us into every single ai generated suggestion that exists for all of the programs we use.

which of course means we can’t turn it off ourselves and now everything takes longer because i have to click out of useless pop ups a million times a day. like no i don’t need an ai summary of the document I JUST MADE.

i’m losing my mind this is so dumb.

yes hello. so they’ve now made us all do an hour long mandatory ai training course..

and it turns out that we’re not allowed to use any public AI tools because all of our work consists of either PHI or proprietary information that cannot be shared.

maybe now they’ll leave us alone. 🙄

I kept forgetting my nighttime antidepressant so I set an alarm where the sound was a recording of me saying "HEY. TAKE YOUR FUCKING PILL" because I thought it would be funny. It was funny about three times, and then it started making me mad and I'd dismiss it right away to make it stop. So I handed my phone to my partner, who made another recording sweetly saying "Okay Shira, it's time to take your medication" and now I don't get mad anymore and I take my pill. The "compassion over punishment" camp has gotta get something wrong one of these days
