ALIX·:
Alix often hadn’t strayed from all that jazz since she’d taken the job, out of a duty or respect to what had been left of her marriage at the time or perhaps fear of something she couldn’t control, she wasn’t sure. But, with the divorce papers that were burning a hole in her bag and only an empty apartment to return to, she was in the mood to try and forget about the state of her life. Her son with his father, she was trying to resist the urge to look at her phone and send a message to the two to check in, knowing that it was hated when she interrupted the father son bonding time.
Glancing up at the bartender when she spoke, her eyes widened a little before she sighed in response. She was grateful for the distraction, but couldn’t help as it appeared she realised she had given off a new vibe to this kind of thing. She had seen some things at All That Jazz, after all. “I’m not new, though I haven’t been in here particularly before.” she admitted to the woman, chuckling softly, “I’m the manager at All That Jazz, Alix. Just a red wine, please.”
“ohhh, yeah! i’ve been in there a few times! i need to go more. there’s ain’t too much i can really DO here - it’s moreso just a way to find more play partners. but, besides the point - welcome !” claudia can sense there’s something stressing the other woman out. the origin of the tension she has no idea, but claudia immediately makes it her mission to ease it. part of why she’s such a good bartender is her keen ability to read other people’s moods. when clients want to be left alone, claudia drops their drink off and moves to the next. and when it seems like they may be here for a conversation, the more the merrier!
boring, the word buzzes around her head as she searches for the right bottle. she loves guessing people’s personalities based on the first drink they order is. but classy. “i peg you as a cabernet kinda woman.” she doesn’t give the woman any chance to confirm nor deny, as right as the words come out of her mouth, she’s already pouring the glass. “if i’m wrong, i’ll drink it. still on your tab though.” a wink follows her words, clearly a joke. “so alix, what brings you down to our little corner of hell?”
