Dream Channel - Dice City PROLOGUE In the year 2025 social networks have expanded to take control of entire cities - Purpose built to be a talent show city 'Lucydia' was founded by a partnership between a large social network and pharmaceutical company The Lucydia Corporation In 2025 they began manufacturing Dice - a lucid dreaming drug that allowed people to go back to any dream they had and continue the story. Soon people were able to develop entire dreams banks - stories and fantasies that they could re-visit every night when they went to sleep. When Dice takers discovered the ability to share dreams a new subliminal social network was born - called Sublime, it was known as The Youtube of dreams. When Dreams began being bought and sold on the black market Lucydia's EDM tribes were the first to begin fighting each other for control of the distribution of dice. When they began vying to control the city's lucid dreamers, Lucydia's authorities investigated the drug looking to close it down. After a well known lucid dreamer was killed by a rival gang member Dice was finally banned. Authorities labelled Sublime The Ecstasy of social networks. Disbanded and driven underground The Lucydia Corporation made the discovery that the victim in the murder had actually gone into a coma and control of the dream had passed to the killer. They founded The Dream Channel. INTERACTIVE ELEMENTS The series features a digital city that clubbers build by recommending DJ’s, clubbers and music - filming them, geo tagging them to real world locations and adding them to DICE CITY – thus creating a user generated city that is the setting for the series. One of the highlights of the series is the weekly DEATH MATCH GAME SHOW . The death match begins when two characters in the series are marked for death . Their fate is then in the hands of their respective DJ tribe who must battle to save them. This begins on-line when two Dj's (one from each tribe) play and upload a music set each. The one who’s set is shared the most wins keeping their contestant alive in the game while the other is eliminated in a scripted death match scene.
