“Ah— I guess it’s alright. I’m thinking of looking for a bigger apartment, but this is doing well for me for now.” Dom walked over to the fridge and looked inside before pulling out a water bottle and handing it over to her. “Have a seat. Please.” He shoved his hands in his pockets and shuffled his feet a little bit. “Thanks again for bringing Sterling home. I really appreciate that.” He said before taking a seat as well in his recliner. He paused, and then fought to figure out what to say. It had never been this hard to talk to her before. They were best friends at one point, why couldn’t they get back to that? Oh right, maybe because after they broke up he got one of their closest friends pregnant.
Didi thanked him for the water bottle before moving to sit down, crossing her leg over the other as she opened the bottle and took a sip. “No of course, it’s not too far from my place and I didn’t want him waiting around, it gets a little busy around home time.” She said with a smile, her eyes searching his face as she thought for a second. “It’s nice to see you, you know just us two. I feel like we haven’t really caught up y’know, us.” She said softly, her eyes leaving him to look at the label on the bottle as if it was the most interesting thing all of a sudden.
