Education The Reason Public Schools Fail
For so long I have sat in befuddlement at the atrocity that is Public School. I was once told that the people who invented this so called "educational system of efficiency", was formed by a group of "highly educated" individuals.
Now if that were true I would not be writing this blog, no...if that were the case there would be less poverty, more people employed, and a lot less dumbasses in the world. Lettuce...begin, The Number one reason public schools have failed a very many people is simply because they don't work. Crazy right? It's true public schools are based around educating the average student. Which means if dumbass Derrick needs help in English he will simply not pass the course. Now I know exactly what you're thinking, "well why doesn't Derrick ask for help?". This too is at most an obsolete thought. You see like me, many people are arrogant; they do not believe in help. Now you will say that it is their fault, but...as usual you are wrong. It is expected of a child (especially a teenager) to act a bit "big for their britches". It is a common behavior among the teenage caliber, instead of Derrick having to break the single most registered behavior among teens. Why doesn't the public school system change, or better yet perhaps it's time for reform. Let's move away from the Victim and instead begin to target the instruments which are inhibiting personal growth and gain of useful information. Textbooks, they are the worst thing to happen to public education since six year olds started getting iphones.
Textbooks are in fact the worst way to absorb any useful information in any course. Simply because they are too long, too boring, and too extensive. Sure we should know who Nelson Mandela is, we don't need to know his every family member. Another reason textbooks are bad, they leave out very useful information some of which is very damning to this country. But I didn't knock on your door to talk politics, in addition to being horribly overextended and outdated, textbooks are flat out harmful. Some books nowadays weigh up to EIGHT WHOLE POUNDS. There is no reason a child who experiences more stress than adults in their teenage years should have to literally carry more weight on their shoulders. In my next blog I will propose an alternative to textbooks, to the current teaching method, and lastly to public education. My plan is that hopefully this is spread far and wide because it is sickening to see young bright youth sitting dumbfounded mindlessly performing tasks to achieve minimal success.
