Snippet of a Jose DST character mod I’ve been working on… (quite a few things still need to be changed and fixed)

Everyone point and laugh the DST mod is finally up on steam! 😍 (after a whopping 8 months?? Record breaker)

A baby was probably conceived and born in the meantime and all that to not fix or implement things I was hoping to do-

but I finally remembered it and don’t think it should’ve waited any longer. Absolutely not perfect but it’s my first time and I’ve learned quite a lot from it!

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to express how much I love this- they all look so gorgeous and serene!!! It’s so nice to see them all together 🦧 Thank you again for drawing my little guys!!!! No matter how many times I look at it, it makes me so happy!

A more serious post-

In a weird place right now because I’m kind of frustrated about the whole idv ai situation- I love this game as much as I hate it so it’s so upsetting to see what it’s becoming, more importantly Netease actively firing artists and programmers to replace them with AI.

One of the main aspects of this game is how cool and awesome the designs are and the thought behind them! It’s always so fascinating to see what the artists had in mind or were thinking about when coming up with their ideas. I complain a lot, but their work is very impressive and I admire it a lot.

Soulless planet destroying slop is so low, and even if they weren’t a billion dollar company, ai is not a medium to produce art. So them having the possibility to hire really talented people yet replacing them is insane. To use an ai for free, feeding on the work of those that brought them to where they are now. The artists and programmers that work for Netease were pretty much carrying the company on their backs and this is what they get.

All the events about protecting the planet and celebrating art feel very ironic all of a sudden- there are no good outcomes to using gen ai.

The fact that they’re turning a blind eye to the complaints (not the first time, they only listen when it interests them (the issues with Patty’s latest S tiers vs Freddy’s hairline cough cough)) just adds fuel to the fire.

This game has been a source of comfort for me for years as god awful as it can be, it’s just sickening to see what it’s becoming. I’m just really disappointed.

I absolutely love the new t&i event and I’m actually dying for them to give us more- so this is just me rambling about the Jose feast we got from it :

- Jose breaking doors with a huge grin

- Jose building hot air balloons with his buddies

- Jose’s dynamic with Mr Inference and Lady Truth (haven’t forgotten the mention of him teaching truth how to swim in the previous anniversary event + the whole alchemy event)

- Jose still not having a cool code name unlike the whole rest of the t&i cast

- Jose getting single shamed

- Jose going to jail and having to be bailed out

- Jose randomly saying a line of code because Netease

- Cousin Carlos because now he’s relevant

- Crying Jose

- Angry Jose

- Jose’s ugly sprite + animations

- Jose drinking three beers a bottle of whiskey and four glasses of wine

- Jose having one braincell

- Jose loving his family

- Jose being very material and trying to gift people he cares about even if he fails

I’m actually so excited for the next part-

Saw eccentric—auditorium’s tags and I couldn’t help myself we all know how that would end-

Yesterday night I had a fever dream/nightmare and I was really scared and overthinking because I was hiding for my life in a ‘someone is going to kill me’ situation.

Except it’s going to sound insane but I just opened my phone in the dream and looked at pictures of Jose to calm myself down.

After that I woke up with a fever.

This was a while ago but absolutely- 😔 it was fun while it lasted, even if his redesign is good- (except the face something feels off and they didn’t even give him his earring)

I could not stop talking my irls’ ears off (I’m so sorry I get so annoying about him but I’m lucky they put up with my tomfoolery) when the trailer came out he looked SO cool!! Like… look at him!!!!!

definitely NOT salty this guy came in 200 pulls eating up all my inspos that I had been saving for years leaving pretty much nothing for pirate radio (at least I got the portrait I guess)

(to be fair I wasn’t really thinking strategically while pulling I was spamming the roll again button because I was flabbergasted to see him not come home over and over again-)
