Hello, it's me again! Sorry for dropping out so suddenly; real life, ya know? Anyway, so, let's continue! Going off of the chance meeting and running away, Prompto eventually returns home only to find Gentiana waiting there for him. This doesn't surprise him, since Gentiana has been beside him every step of the way since she pointed him towards Eos. This little human, her mortal counterpart, was just like her and she couldn't let him go. At least, not alone (1/??)
So Gentiana sits there, silently asking was has Prompto so frazzled and he tells her. He always talks to her about his day, knowing that she would listen, that she would understand that urge to just ... share how that day has been without censure. She used to do it with Ifrit, before he lost himself, after all. And when she hears about the chance meeting, she cannot stop the soft sigh of empathized ache. She ponders for a moment and comes to a decision.
G informs P that this is also a price, but the one on the other end of this one was Bahamut, the Draconian. For reasons she has never understood and really does not want to, B hates the line of Lucis Caelum and any chance of causing them misery is perfectly fine in his eyes. So, what B is doing is ... sort of enhancing Eos' price. No matter what, no matter how many times or to how many people Noctis asks about P, 30 mins. later, they will always forget that they were asked a question.
So no word spreads of the Insomnian King asking around after someone missing. And Gentiana? She abhors this. She despises this-this-this torture. So, she tells him bluntly to stop playing B's games. That if he kept running away, B would use this chance to sink his claws in further and further, driving the King of Kings mad with grief until he eventually collapsed in on himself. Taking his precious kingdom with him.
Oh ow :( So it’s up to Prom to give the big “fuck you” to Bahamut by going back and befriending Noct again. It must also hurt to know that without him, Noct is suffering. Not even Prompto can try to justify that by doubting his worth. So he’s gotta go back!
