What I mean when I say I want someone to love me like Mo Ran does, is that he loves Chu Wanning without expecting Chu Wanning to change himself for him. Instead, he finds cuteness in Chu Wanning’s flaws. Finds perfection in his imperfections. Chu Wanning doesn’t have to be the most romantic, or the most open, or the warmest, or the perfect lover. In fact, Chu Wanning is so far away from the fairytale prince, but Mo Ran loves him anyway; and sees all the things CWN has done for him. I want that sort of love for me.

There is something really visceral to me about Chu Wanning discovering the curse and the flower in the first timeline and realizing that Mo Ran wasn't the main "villain" of his story but the first victim of someone else's machination and nobody realized it in time to save him because the curse is made it so that nobody could see it.

It's just really sad.
