All the angst and pain in current qls is seriously impacting my ability to experience joy and I need it to stop. Like right now. Let's hope the new and upcoming shows can change the current vibe. As usual, spoilers and opinions below, read at your own risk.
QL - Currently Watching
🇨🇳 A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills' Dream [14/16] - I don't even know what to say. Besides the grief I simply don't understand this move from a story perspective. I wanna believe that the writer wouldn't use another death simply for shock value but right now I can't see it.
🇯🇵 After Moving Seats, the Boy Behind Me...[2/8] - Ngl this is my least favourite HS jbl airing. Just not vibing with the leads. Really like the friend groups tho. 🇯🇵 Are the Sexy Buttocks Not Good? [4/10] - There are some compelling moments here but overall I'm not vibing with this one.
🇭🇰 Ash [2/9] - Let me just say that Leo is gorgeous and it's very distracting lol. So I really didn't need to pick up another show so I was only gonna watch the first episode for curiosity's sake and then they hooked me. Love the setup and the chemistry is great.
🇹🇭 Be my Player Two [4/10] - I just love how unhinged Maxky is in this. They let him be free and he's taking full advantage. It's so funny. The pacing is a bit weird for me but I'm having fun. Curious about the side couple.
🇨🇳 Bittersweet Love [10/12] - Fanfan is my hero. That was incredible. I cannot wait to see what happens next. No, but seriously, I can't wait so please give me the next episode now!
🇹🇼 Connecting To You [4/12] - I love it! Love the concept, love the visuals, love the actors, love it all. Taiwan always delivers the cohap trope and I can't wait for more.
🇹🇭 Don't Be Too Emotional [7/12] - It's office romance time. Jane Patrick continues to be the most emotional dude ever but the herculean efforts he puts into not showing it should be studied. Thhis dynamic is so interesting.
🇯🇵 Duty First, Kiss Later [4/10] - This is so good. I was really missing this brand of chaos from japan.
🇹🇭 Gelboys 2 [2/10] - Not loving it here. Not a fan of the 'how I broke up with your father' setup and it's making me less invested in the present timeline and I'm definitely not invested in the future one. So I'm here mainly for PJ.
🇯🇵 Hold on, Harutora-kun [1/10] - Oh they are so precious. I adopted Harutora in the first minute. I missed this brand of awkward simp from Japan. This one is not in the bubble so expect angst. I mean more than we had.
🇹🇭 Love destiny [6/10] - Too much going on. Too many plots and couples that I care nothing about. This is a remake of an het show so why am I getting all the hets again? They are taking too much time from the bl side and the pacing of the main couple os suffering because of it. It's episode 6 of 10 and they haven't even kissed? I don't mind a slow burn but this isn't it. It's not slow, it's crumb like.
🇹🇭 Match Point [2/10] - SingChimon!!!! Yeah yeah the couple is cute but they are all I care about so far. No but seriously, I like that there's no actual enemies and we know from the get that one of them is already crushing. With that said, give me all the Sing and Chimon please!!!
🇯🇵 My Summer of You [7/12] - And they're back together. I like that Wataru is being a bit more forthcoming about his feelings. Don't know why but I'm kinda lukewarm about this one now.
🇯🇵 Popular Serizawa Acts Weird around Me [2/11] - Fudanshi 4 fudanshi!!! Unhinged self proclaimed seme and overwhelmed uke. Amazing friend group. This what jbl dreams are made of. Mine anyway. I love it here.
🇹🇭 The Edge of Horizon [9/11] - Love does not in fact conquer all. Who knew? (apparently a lot of people considering the insane opinions I've been seeing about this show)
🇯🇵The Servant Prince [7/8] - If this show gives me nothing else, let it at least give me an awful bl father getting what he deserves.
🇹🇭 Weirdo 101 [1/10] - Can't believe I get another SeaKeen show only 7 months after the last one ended. I feel so lucky. I love Cheewa so much. This is probably my favourite flavour of thai HS bl. Adorable and comforting with a side of angst. I'm excited.
🇯🇵 Your Sky: Hare Nochi Koi [3/10] - This is like the sped up version of the thai show. I like the actors and the story so I'm enjoying it. Didn't expect them to keep the other couple that are just crumbs in the thai version but I like it.
🇯🇵 Your Summer, My Storm [6/10] - Is it a bl? Who cares? It's lovely and they are both so endearing and I love them. And the dog is the bestest.
🇹🇭 Your Third [4/12] - This show is completely unserious and I'm here for it. Give me all the silly, I need it. Max is very funny and I like that I have another show by the ocean. Also I hope we get to see more from Peterpan and Fluke.
