Commission of my digital art turned physical. Can’t believe someone asked for this within a week of posting the illustration. They originally asked for a print, but I mentioned that I could also do a physical acrylic piece - sold!
As an established international artist now (< apply a sarcastic tone), my artwork is an exploration of pareidolia - the physiological phenomenon where the brain interprets random visual patterns as faces.
I start by freely drawing the black outlines, then add eyes, teeth, lips - wherever a face jumps out at me. Next, I add colour. I don’t really have an explanation for my colour choices; I just pick the ones that feel right. From there, I add more texture with patterns and lines.
And that’s it. That’s my process. Mind-blowing stuff, eh? Probably the next Picasso over here…
When you’re trying to show off videos, photos, and other visual content from your iPhone or iPad, there are too many times when the small screen just won’t do. Fortunately, you can connect those devices to your big-screen TV through several different methods.
You don’t even need a fancy smart TV to do it. We’ll show you several easy methods for screen mirroring, ranging from using a basic HDMI adapter to sophisticated wireless streaming.
Keep in mind that if your goal is to watch streaming services such as Apple TV+, Netflix, or Hulu on your television, mirroring your iPhone or iPad is neither necessary nor the most practical solution. Instead, you can buy a low-cost streaming media player such as a Roku Streaming Stick+ or Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, plug them into your TV, and operate them with a proper remote control. Here’s a link to our guide to the best streaming devices.
Try these options when you want to mirror iPhone or iPad content on a bigger screen.

Summary
Dust clogs fans and heatsinks, trapping heat and causing thermal throttling.
A quick 8–10 minute vacuum, blow, and microfiber wipe restores both cooling and aesthetics.
If you care about appearance, make dusting a monthly routine, but every 3–6 months is sufficient for optimal cooling.
A little dusting goes a long way.
It’s always difficult to keep personal prejudice out of a thing like this. And wherever you run into it, prejudice always obscures the truth.

What a nuclear reactor on the Moon really means for NASA’s future - August 6, 2025
There are real concerns with long-term power generation on the Moon; nuclear could be the answer. But for NASA, will the cost be too high?
Key Takeaways
For long-term plans of human settlements on the Moon, power is a major issue, as the fourteen-day-long nights necessitate a power source other than the Sun for sustained operations.
However, as announced on August 4, 2025, a plan to launch a 100 kilowatt nuclear reactor by 2030 is overly ambitious given the state of current technology, and threatens to siphon funds from other essential services.
Instead of securing and enhancing the long-term future of American science and technology in space, this instead provides a blueprint and justification for dismantling and defunding NASA science.
For many years, NASA’s science mission directorate — which leads humanity in studying the Earth, the Sun, other planets and worlds, and the greater Universe from space — has focused on maintaining a balanced portfolio. This plan ensures that:
flagship missions, like Hubble and JWST or the most recent Mars rovers,
medium-sized missions, like the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, SPHEREx, TESS, or the Europa Clipper,
small-sized missions, like OSIRIS-REx and cubesat missions,
and investing in developing emerging technologies while also supporting future generations of researchers,
would all continue to take place. A balanced portfolio prevents any one mission, no matter how important, from going over budget and diminishing needed funds to support the other important vital endeavors.
The great danger to a balanced portfolio, which ensures the maximum amount of across-the-board success for science and society, is that one endeavor without an additional source of funding for it would come along and suck up so much funding that it would unbalance the portfolio, leading to either the underfunding or outright termination of so many vital projects. This is known as the “eating their lunch” problem within NASA, as a too-expensive project will prevent these other necessary endeavors from being funded.
With a new declaration (as of August 4, 2025) that NASA now plans to build a 100 kilowatt nuclear reactor on the Moon, and that it must launch by 2030, a path for how to permanently defund and destroy NASA science is now clearly charted. Here’s what committing to such a nuclear reactor on the Moon really means for the future of NASA science.
