The letter G has particular rules, similar to the letter Z when followed by the vowels E and the I. The consonant G, in combination with the letter E and the I, adopts its strong sound. Examples: gemelo, ligero, gigante, giro. When the open vocals A, O, U follow to letter G, then it adopts its soft sound. Let's see some examples: Gato, gota, gusto. For the consonant G to have a soft sound, when the E or I follows it, a U must be placed in the middle, leaving said U, in this case, mute. Examples: guerra, guitarra, pegué, guiso. For the U to stop being silent, the dieresis should be placed, Ü (the two points above). But this only applies to the vowels E and the I. In these cases, the letter G would again adopt its soft sound. Examples: vergüenza, agüero, güira, pingüino. And for now, let's save some neurons for the next lesson. I invite you to read part 3 of these interesting spelling rules. Remember that to find more articles related to language. The new generation format of images "WEBP" developed by Google has allowed web pages to load faster, showing high definition images, with a minimum of weight in bytes, making a difference in our websites' SEO. In the case of DigiXshare, all the images we use are webp only. The problem with showing the webp format is that there are still browsers that are not compatible, and in other cases, there are browsers that have been updated, but their previous versions, which still use many devices, have not. Come on, not everyone has the latest model Ipad or iPhone! More than half of the world's population cannot afford that luxury. The html5 element has solved many problems to display backup images, when we can't display them in webp format, it is not always supported in older versions of certain browsers. To give a couple of examples, the Safari browser has support, from 9.1, Opera, from version 25.0 onwards. So we see ourselves sometimes, in dire need, to use alternatives to this element. I present this alternative or trick, which has helped me show alternative images for browsers with versions incompatible with the element and the webp format. This alternative consists of a PHP function that detects the type of browser the client has and then shows the alternative images when webp will not work. This example shows webp images when the browsers are Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, but you can adapt the code to your needs. In your HTML code:
Something a little difficult in the Spanish language, and again, just a little difficult, is memorizing the Spanish spelling rules. However, when you compare it with the English language, it is better to learn a dozen spelling rules than not thousands of words which do not follow a pattern or writing rule as it happens in the English language. • Rule of letters P and B. Before P and B, the M is always written. Examples: Limpiar, campo, ambos, cambio. • Rule of letter H. When a verb is written with H in its infinitive state, when conjugating it, they will also be written without losing their H. Examples: Huyendo, ahuyentar, ahumar. • Words begining with the diphthongs ia, ie, ua, ue, ui, are written with H. For example, Hiato, hiatal, hierro, hielo, huaca, huelga, huella, huida. In terms of pronunciation, the H is completely mute in all cases. • Rule of letter Z. To form the plurals of words with syllables ending in Z, if they are followed by vowels i, or e, (closed or weak vowels), Z is lost and replaced with C. Examples: paz / paces, codorniz / codornices, pez/peces, feliz / felices. That's all for today. I invite you, to read part 2 of these interesting spelling rules in our next article. Remember that to find more articles related to language, you can go to our Home page, and in the search engine, select the option "Language."
Sometimes, we need to retrieve the value of the (Primary Key) immediately after making an INSERT in MYSQL. This key is auto-generated when we have set the AUTO_INCREMENT value in the table created in MYSQL. Obtaining the (PRIMARY KEY) is very simple. By the way, I want to recommend that when you are looking for information on how to do something in programming, look for the simplest examples. Sometimes we find blogs that show you a whole page of code to teach you something when the solution is in a simple line of code. For beginners in the world of programming, this can be frustrating. Well, I like simple examples, and here is the solution; you only need to use the expression: $conn-> insert_id; In this case, as you probably know, the $conn variable is the one used to create the connection. What I mean, it can be $conn or $whatever you named. Here, the important expression is "->insert_id" Example snippet: $sql = ("INSERT INTO your_table(field1, field2) VALUES ('$field1', '$field2')"); ($conn->query($sql)); // We do the INSERT $obtainID = $conn->insert_id; // We obtain the PRIMARY KEY, the id of the new record created with the variable php $obtainID. And that's it.

President Donald Trump announced early Friday that he and first lady Melania Trump have contracted the coronavirus. All this is happening amid the growing rebound in coronavirus cases in several states, and just weeks before the presidential elections. At 74 years old and weighing in the obesity range, Trump falls into the category of highest risk of serious complications from the disease, which has killed 207,816 Americans and 1,023,451 people worldwide to date. A little later, the first lady tweeted that she and her husband were doing well. Around 1:00 am EDT today, the president's physician, Dr. Sean Conley, sent a statement to reporters confirming that the tests carried out on Thursday night were positive. At the moment, about the quarantine of both, they plan to do it inside the White House. The contagion is thought came from one of his closest assistants, Hope Hicks, who tested positive for the infection, bringing the disease to his inner circle. Trump has, on numerous occasions, downplayed the spread of the virus and has given an image of himself as a superhero who is immune to the coronavirus, prompting millions of his followers to do the same and promising that the end of the pandemic is in sight. Also, he has frequently mocked his opponent Joe Biden for wearing a mask. He has also criticized the strict closures that some states have maintained with Democratic governors to prevent the spread of the virus. Much more of the irresponsible acts by the president could be added to the list, but I'm sure you already know. It is time to land on politics and take steps to protect your life because the pandemic has not gone away, and this winter it is not going to be better than summer. Your life and health depend on the actions you take to protect yourself, not on the political views that Democrats or Republicans have on an issue that even the scientists themselves do not know 100 percent. The quarantine, the isolation measures before a contagious outbreak, it is biblical, they were orders that God gave to his people, and they functioned protecting them thousands of years ago, today doctors have discovered their effectiveness.
Writing html within a block of php code is really easy. I could say that there are three basic ways. The most common is a simple echo. For example: This example solves when writing only a few lines of code, but sometimes we need to write entire Html pages inside php, and these, inside an echo would be a bit bizarre. I prefer to write several lines of Html inside php variables and then show the variable using an echo. This solution opens the doors to more interactivity with Html, since you could show or hide elements, change styles of the same element, etc., depending on the fulfillment of a condition from php, something similar that we do with javascript. In the example below, I show you how to do it. It is also very easy.

This article is the last one about pronouns since, in previous articles, we have explained all other classes of pronouns. So we invite you, if you have not read them, to use our search engine located at the top of our home page, and select the category Language. There you will find all the posts related to Spanish grammar and spelling. Today we will talk about the interrogative and exclamatory pronouns. Interrogatives express questions referring to substantives. They are always accentuated diacritically, and will be enclosed next to the complete sentence, between the signs ¿?. Unlike the English language, in Spanish, a question mark is used to open the question. Examples: ¿Quién eres? ¿Estás loco? ¿A dónde vas? ¿Qué vas a comer? ¿Por qué me miras? ¿Quiénes son ellos? ¿Cuánto dinero necesitas? ¿Cuántos artículos has leído? The exclamatory pronouns, they express emotions, feelings, or reactions, alluding to the noun. Among the reactions are those of shock, anger, surprise, admiration, etc. They are also accentuated diacritically, and will be enclosed, together with the complete sentence, between the signs ¡!. Unlike the English language, in Spanish, an exclamation sign is also used to open the question. Examples: ¡Qué hermoso amanecer! ¡Qué feo eres! ¡Cuánto derroche de dinero! ¡Quién fuera ese artista! Now something curious happens in Spanish language. And it is that sometimes a sentence could be interrogative and exclamatory at the same time. So how would the signs be used in these cases? When a sentence is interrogative and exclamatory at the same time, both signs can be combined in different ways, although the most common for some is to use them together to open and close sentences. Let´s see some examples and their context: Express anger and question it: ¡Cómo te atreves? Indignation and questioning at the same time: ¿Cómo tuvistes el valor de dejarme! Expressing anger and requesting a repeat of what was expressed: ¿¡Qué tu dices!? Express surprise about the price, and question how exaggerated it is: ¡¿Que cuánto cuesta?! And so far, all for now about pronouns. In the next article, we will talk about some basic spelling rules regarding certain consonants.
