.sonic 2 rambles & shadow

Overall Sonic 2 was great but gosh am I excited/scared to see what they’re gonna do with Shadow’s character...

How they mixed bits and pieces with Tails’ and Knuckles backstory was very refreshing to me and I still 100% recognized the characters, both worked really well with the movie canon. All the friendships between the characters didn’t seem forced and honestly that’s what I was the most afraid of, how are they gonna make it work ? But it was so natural, I can’t wait to see more ;;

Getting to my actual point I’m very trusting of the writers after seeing the second movie but at the same time so scared what if we get another “S.EGA guideline” portrayal of him. Rude, cold, selfish, cocky..... Honestly I’m fine if he starts the 3rd movie as a complete asshole IF towards the end he actually starts to show compassion towards others etc. Just please-

     He always had a great read on others, and so he understands what the other wolf is quietly searching for.  But for now Triangle simply stays quiet as his own cigarette is bit between teeth and his other hand remains in his pocket.  Intently he listens, and nods after a moment as Circle starts to formulate a plan.

Once the pack is held out for him, his slender fingers move delicately to pull out a cigarette. He mutters a small ‘thanks’ before leaning back against the wall. “ At least it would take them a long time to recover  — but yes potentially. “

His gaze trails down, eyes fixating on a trampled down cigarette butt on the street paving. Circle was used to running everything through others and get confirmation to his ideas and plans, it was still somewhat new for him to take responsibility. He would never want to make any decision by himself but it felt good to be trusted enough to ask for his opinion as well. 

“ What they did to us really left us struggling for a while. It’s been months since and we’re probably just a joke to them at this point — which is why I don’t think they would never expect us pulling something this bold. “ His brows knit together as he thinks, the cigarette still hanging unlit between his fingers. “ Tri, I can’t- I can’t just let them get away with it. “

Headcanons for Marshal

Marshal appears a lot younger than he actually is. People often mistake him for a child and treat him as so. This is something that really annoys him and he’s quick to correct people. His small figure doesn’t really help here-

Marshal has two older sisters, making him the youngest out of his siblings. Due to this he’s used to being a little spoiled, he rarely needed to work to get something back at home. In New Horizon setting this is the first time he’s living by himself and his mother (+sisters) would often sent him letters and even call just to check on him. Marshal truly is the “baby” of the family. This however doesn’t bother him as much as people getting his age wrong.

Marshal can play multiple music instruments, all of them being classical instruments. His favorite instrument is piano but he also really likes the sound of brass instruments, especially french horn. 

His dream is to own a successful cafe and become a designer. Currently he 100% believes he can achieve both and refuses to believe otherwise, however when he gets a little older he might realize these are two very big plans and he may shift his focus into only one of them, depending which dream seems more achievable at the time.
