Tropical Inn Resort (part 1/3)

I pass by this motel every day during my work commute on US 1. Something about the aesthetic had always intrigued me, even before the place went out of business earlier this year. After it had been sitting around totally vacant for a few months I finally set aside a couple of mornings to get up early and go check it out. As it turns out this “resort,” which had doubled as a rehab center, was shut down pretty suddenly after incurring a large debt to the city of Palm Bay, and as a result there was little to no maintenance or housekeeping done once all the tenants had left. Here’s what I found left behind.
