If behind every successful man there is a woman, then beside every successful woman is a man, who not only supports her but empowers her. A highly accomplished (married) woman has a champion in her spouse because without that, it is 10x harder to do anything, be it maintaining a house, raising children, or professional aspirations. These men are hard to find—the ones who want to co-create a life rather than expecting the woman to change and compromise to fit what they have already built.
A good marriage is a partnership, not of 50/50 but of both partners getting each other to 100 so that everything they do is compounded. Love is nurtured; so is respect and trust. There has to be room for both individuals in the marriage so they can each grow in their own roles and become stronger together.
If you study the seerah and Islamic tradition, you will find examples of this. Shaykh Mohammad Akram Nadwi has beautifully compiled the book, Al-Muhaddithat: The Woman Scholars in Islam, which is a groundbreaking biographical and scholarly work that documents the lives and contributions of over 9,000 female hadith scholars (muhaddithat) throughout Islamic history. Islamic history is rife with examples of powerful women, supported women, loved women… we just have to do the work, and the secret lies in teamwork. May we all find spouses who uplift us in deen and duniya, ameen.

You somehow always end up forgiving the people you love.
This is the thing about love. It teaches you to be forgiving. Someone asked "How much one person can be forgiving?". Shaykh replied "as much as he loves someone "
As a child I have always been scared when it comes to speaking about my emotions, because I take the reactions and the replies too seriously. Now when I'm grown up, I have also let them effect me to the core and have stopped expressing my real emotions by masking it with anger. How will I ever show my real emotion?

There's a storm in my heart and chaos in my mind.
When my heart is not in peace, my body goes in sleeping mode for 24/7 . All I do and can think of is sleeping. It's an escape I think.
Sometimes some people bring so much of love and happiness in your life that once they leave, they leave a void in your heart. You can always feel that emptiness, especially when your heart feels lonely. But after a certain period of time, you only remember the good memories and smile whenever you miss them. Their remembrance makes your heart happy . I still search for you Nana, I still wish that you were here by my side, but I hope you are at a very happy and peaceful place insha Allah. I am having ragda without you!
Dear Lord, when I get to heaven, please tell me there is no man.
“I like cancelled plans. And empty bookstores. I like rainy days. And thunderstorms. And quiet coffee shops. I like messy beds and over-worn pajamas. Most of all, I like the small joys that a simple life brings.”
