Not that I've been very active here lately - I'm not comfortable with the vibes change tumblr went through in recent years - but I'm closing down this blog for good now.

I don't trust the current owners with my work. AFAIK they hold a dubious position on AI, perhaps eager to jump on the bandwagon when they feel users finally get too used to it to object, and to this day and age I find not having full control over what you post indefensible. The week in which I started to sneak colors into graphite drawings! Gold acrylic in addition to off-white acrylic paint for details. I need to get new shades of gold because mixing with white and black didn't work out.

Pages from first days of July, featuring cool late 1800s people and a whole lancetfish this time around. Drawing fish is so relaxing, yet I had no idea until I tried!

Last week dailies just dropped. I must confess I have the greatest fun drawing beards and moustaches!

Last week I did a number of kid studies! You never know when you'll need to draw children and I don't want to end up drawing some that look pasted over from a different style altogether because I never bothered practice drawing them.

So far I've draw around 200 portraits there. Who would've thought that practice makes perfect? I find stuff that I didn't target in studies just leaking into my paintings and that free XP is wonderful. 😄
