The drawing itself is fantastic too, following that silhouette rule solidly. Even the most understated one on the left, most could piece together visually as a silhouette. That can be challenging with a pose like that! Kudos again! Lol

They did an amazing job!! The silhouettes and the diamonds behind them are so cool!! I wasn't aware of any rule, but I'm glad they did so well! Kiyoshi (the one on the left) is very shy and timid, so he doesn't stand out much, so they got their personalities great too! Thank you so much, and thank you again to Sarc for how awesome it is!! Makes me so happy and I'm grateful to all my mutuals for letting me excited with them and joining in on the fun!!

As a treat, here's a sneak peek to one of our villains! Her design is still in the works, I know generally what I want but I have a couple different designs I want to try! When I introduce her properly, maybe I'll make a poll for which outfit you'd like to see more!

I felt good today, so I did a few Riki doodles in my sketchbook! I was messing with some thick pens I never use and wanted to try a more chibi style lol. Let me know if you like it!
Riki lore- (Still deciding if it's canon) Riki had brown hair growing up, like her mom. Our protagonist has issues with her mom, so when she disappeared, so did Riki's brown hair!
Kiyoshi's birthday was at the beginning of the month, and due to events happening, I was unable to celebrate. I want to do something though, so I'll update when I can!
Side note, Rin's birthday is in October! If you have something you want to suggest for hers, please comment!
Did you know Rin was originally going to have longer hair? It didn't end up in the sketches I have now, but I want to know what you guys think! Longer or shorter hair?
Dimension Crossers are people with a certain wavelength and a want for peace that are able to go through screen via Henkan but the power they have for keeping the timelines in order can lead them to turn evil. Some people are very gifted and can do it from a younger age, others undergo training. Usually people that are able to undergo Henkan training are relatives of people who have in the past and hold that same wavelength! It's totally random whether it selects you or skips a generation. Your internal moral code must align in order for it to work and if it stops working.. well you could end up trapped.
Henkan is the portal that is able to transport you to the overworld where you can pick your channel. Usually it is in a big setup with 3 monitors to help guide you. You can break it apart to give to teammates but it's important to keep all parts safe because you need them all to work it! The 3 monitors are channels, outfits, and weapons. You can pick any of the channels and customize outfits as needed as well as pick whatever magic or weapon you may need! Everyone has a different skill set so you'll need to train up!

“I Want to Keep Them Safe”
“Happy birthday, Riki!” Kiyoshi walks in, waving. “Ready to go?”
Riki turns around, throwing on her shoes and following Kiyo out of her room. “Thanks! Now can you tell me where we’re going? The anticipation is killing me!”
Her friend laughs, “No, it’s for your birthday! Now, turn around.” She confusedly turns around and lets Kiyoshi put a blindfold on her and wonders why Rin isn’t here, before remembering that her blue-haired bestie can’t keep a secret and probably wouldn’t be this gentle..
Kiyoshi leads Riki outside and down the street, holding her hand and checking on her as they go. “We’re almost there!” he exclaims, very excited for his friend to see her surprise. As they walk, Riki can’t help but think of everything that’s happened, all the scars she’s obtained, both physically and mentally, and all the everlasting memories. She starts to get a bit anxious, all this thinking making her worried about the past and how many times she could’ve lost those who mean everything to her, but she’s thankful that they’re here. She holds his hand a bit tighter and he whispers “It’s alright, don’t worry.” His smile fading softly. He can tell that there’s something eating at Riki, and he has a pretty good idea as to what it is. Kiyoshi also starts to think about how much he’s grown, from being so shy to actually gaining confidence in himself, even taking more responsibility in life and helping Norman find a way to get back to normal.
Kiyoshi stops walking, and tells Riki to wait, and turn around. She does, “Now close your eyes and turn around. Don’t open until I tell you, alright?”
Riki smiles, “Alright!” giving 2 thumbs up. Rin sets up the camera and makes sure all the pastries and sandwiches are laid out next to the tea and juice, all of Riki’s favorite kinds, and urges the other guests to hide behind the trees nearby.
As the soft breeze of wind begins to blow, Kiyoshi ushers his friend to turn around and to open her eyes. She opens her eyes and she's surrounded by her friends and past enemies, turned friends, all standing around a red picnic blanket. She covers her mouth in shock, feeling her eyes well up with tears, but none slip out quite yet. “Happy Birthday, Riki!” They all shout in unison, clapping and cheering while Rin runs up and hugs her closest friend. They all step back and smile, allowing Riki to brush her pink hair out of her face and they all sit and have a nice lunch full of laughter and smiles. Picking up a piece of cake, all her friends start singing to her and she makes her wish, “I wish to keep them safe, my dearest friends. I’ll never let them get another scar, I love them too much.” And she blows out her candle.
The day ends with everyone laughing; Harvey, Rena and Kiyoshi talking and eating, Orion summoning her dog to play with Norman with Alaric just laughing hard, Pompei trying spicy foods and Rin trying to one-up him before running over and tackling Riki in a hug.
“We all love you, Riki. Thank you for being our friend. Happy Birthday, Pinkie.” Rena starts. Pompei adds, gently patting her head, “T’ank ya for saving us! We forever are in yer debt. Whenever ya need anythin’, please call on us.” With a soft smile, our heroine agrees.
After the festivities, all the spirits go back home, ready for another day. Rin and Kiyoshi started cleaning up and Riki decided to explore a little. She walked to a tree and put her hand on it, lightly feeling the bark and moss. She goes to pick up a tulip for her friends when they start to wilt away. “Ow!” She yelps, a bee stinging her arm. She swats it away while she watches another flower die, turning black and withering. “Guys! Come look at this!” She yells while her friends run over.
“Oh that’s bad.” Kiyoshi starts, staring at all the flowers and trying to collect the powder. “Something is going to happen soon. I’ll go get Norman, we have some research to do.” Rin nods and watches him run off while she tends to the bee sting on Riki’s arm.
“Let’s get you home. I’m sure your old man left some bandages or at home.” The 4 of them gather up and start to walk home. This anxious feeling welling up in her, she can tell her birthday is just the beginning of something much worse.
In the distance, Leroy is standing on a wire, bees surrounding him and using his magic to wilt a path into the forest. Cackling, he declares “This will be the end of you, kids. Watch out.”
I've started a draft of the first chapter of Dimension Crosser! Will not be posting yet, but definitely in the future! I also have ideas for the next cast of Season 2, so be excited to hear about those!
Here, I introduce our timid Kiyo! He is 16 1/2 and he's very self conscious about his age. His birthday is 8/3 and was the nominated "Parent Friend", which he takes this title in stride after his friends stop teasing him. Now hearing "Dad" feels endearing. He's not a super skilled fighter, but he's always trying to learn and is very much a bookworm. He knows when to put his foot down and enjoys fighting, even if it makes him anxious to do a lot. He's always wanted a dog, so meeting Norman was the best thing to ever happen to him. Sword user, magic type, Dog animal.
He loves teasing his friends but is cautious with what he says in order to not upset them (they won't get upset and actively encourage him to say things) and his friends have made him more outgoing. He's also currently exploring his sexuality! He also loves the Lillipup Pokémon line, and their his favorite games. He's happy to answer any questions about Pokémon you may have!
He's very anxious and can be quite shy, she he flies under the radar at school, but usually does quite good. He doesn't like tomatoes or jello, and he usually is the main person who plans different fights accordingly.
"Heyyo! I'm Rin Nakano, and I am a Dimension Crosser!"
Rin is 16, birthday 10/14. She mostly uses a bow, but can also be seen to use a staff if necessary. She loves to fight and she's known for such at school, so people don't mess with her, but if they do, she's not afraid to kick their teeth in! She's a black belt in karate and practices a couple times a week at the gym, along with practicing her bow skills. Her bow is her prized possession and she won't let anything happen to it.
She's a jokester and loves to prank people, like her friends and even some enemies. She always has something lying around. Everytime they encounter Leroy, she makes sure to bully him a bit by making fun of everything she can. She's honestly quite creative lol, but he does it to himself because his outfits span from interesting, to downright ridiculous lol.
She loves training and fighting, but her favorite thing to do after is play Kart Racing Game with her friends, however she is quite competitive and is known to make bets lol. She picks up part time jobs sometimes just to be able to afford these reckless habits lol. If you want a list of jobs she's taken, let me know! She doesn't like coconut, she says it's gross and has a bad texture and she doesn't like when people touch her or her hair. Sometimes you may see the highlights fade from her hair, but that just means she needs to touch them up (she does it herself, she's very handy).
Her morals lie in her heart, she throws out every rational decision when she sees her friends get hurt, so she's often being held back or being told to use her head more.
She's bisexual and a Dark Type user and her animal is snake!
Welcome, Rin! She's one of my favorites out of the characters I've made, so I hope you like it! I found drawing her from the front was a bit hard, but I think it came out nicely! Let's all wish her a happy late birthday!
