Fantasy
Magic having to compete with the industrial era: Because what’s better than an up-and-coming mage contending with these newfangled cars and phones? Read this here.
Post-war/apocalyptic magic nightmare city game: I like monsters and the chaos of a city with moving sidewalks and talking walls. There’s a patron-only OC profile associated with this too, along with some videos and other content here on Tumblr.
Pre-apocalyptic magic conspiracy mystery: Very different from the above in that the only people who know the apocalypse is coming are doing it on purpose. You can read the short here.
Failed “Chosen One” story: The original Chosen One didn’t succeed in their quest, and now the second one has to take a crack at it. They don’t appear to be treating it very somberly, considering the pantheon is collapsing in the aftermath of losing their first hero of choice.
Sci-Fi
Book smart teen from a broken family makes terrible decisions in a sci-fi setting: His mom is nice, but his dad leaves a lot to be desired. There’s only soft, light sci-fi elements in Nate’s intro that’s free to read, but it gives you an idea of what his family is like. His OC profile is another exclusive, fyi.
Stock Alien Agency™ but monster lovers and conspiracy: Because I want a gay alien romance that features barely contained chaos. There’s another OC profile for patrons only with this one.
Underground city because the surface is uninhabitable: As sometimes happens when humanity can’t be trusted with nice things, they have to make do with lesser things until they can fix what they broke. The underground city is threatened by other creatures living under the earth, so the people there have to make the surface safe again or, well, it’s not looking good.
Superhuman Themes
Controlling regime weaponizing and isolating people with abilities: These superhuman people are confined in a fortress-esque community unless they’re needed, until they one day gain control. They’re trying to find a way to live inside these fortress without outside control, and the regime is trying to keep it on the dl that they’ve lost control.
Post-demise of an evil science laboratory: The people who were experimented on were freed and given their lives back, for the first time in some cases, and they’ve been called back to the lab in somewhat dubious circumstances. That they really should’ve questioned before going.
Alternate universe shenanigans: In one universe, the central hero is the greatest villain, and someone from that universe is seeking help from another universe to stop her. It’s a little awkward, considering all help basically has to go through her.
Supernatural
Modern-day hunters just trying to do their jobs: There are new hunters from the 21st century, hunters that aren’t entirely human, and generally greater forces at work than any one of them can handle alone. So, you know, a Tuesday for them. They’re as needed as ever, but not particularly trusted.
Krampus-themed Christmas visual novel: What happens to kids who are a mainstay on the naughty list? Well, who did you really think made those toys? Also known as “I’m sick of canned sweet Christmas stories and want something with a little edge to it”.
Interdimensional librarians game: Is it a visual novel? An app? Undecided, but the player will be absorbed into a group of adventurer/scholar/librarians who navigate multiple universes that need documenting/stabilizing. As you save more universes, you learn more about the library/museum.

Modern Grey Wardens: What if the recruitment efforts were still super bad, only now they have spotty WiFi and HQs around the world in historic buildings that no one really wants? And then a Blight comes? Because of course it does! Only it’s never that simple, noooo.
Fire Emblem (spoilers):
FE3H: Hubert’s agent: Remember that one faceless agent of Hubert’s who delivered the note about TWSD at the end of the Golden Deer route? Well, I do! And I created a whole story for them and how they met Hubert. They’re from Morfis because you can’t give me places on a map and put nothing there but one battalion.
FE3H: Vestra Sr.’s backstory: How did he become part of the Insurrection that destroyed House Hresvelg and his relationship with his son? Was Hanneman right to trust him? And just how close was the Father of Crestology to the Imperial spymaster anyway?

But what if Hawke made it out of the Fade in DAI? I just love the idea of Hawke, months/years later because time is weird, emerging from the Fade and not being quite right in the head anymore. Same old Hawke! They just sometimes interact with things you can’t see. It’s probably fine.

I find it weird, actually, that today it's more common to have sex with casual acquaintances you meet on the Hookup App than to have sex with people you already know and like and have fun with. and how if two friends have sex, there's an assumption there must be underlying romantic feelings. because apparently casual non-romantic sex is fine, but only with people you don't already like and care about?
I feel like the hippies and people who lived through the Free Love movement would be rightfully disappointed at us for these made-up lines we're drawing between Sex/Romance and (gasp!) Friendship. shockingly, it's fine to have casual sex with people you enjoy hanging out with and do not want to date. fun and healthy even!
